I've been invited to a Halloween party this Saturday by some American friends I have here in Norway. Now, Halloween is not really a holiday we celebrate here in Norway, so I need some help here.

I've got one day and just about no money to get a costume. Has anyone got any ideas?

Oh, and I'm a guy, so don't come with suggestions like "playboy bunny", etc.

I went to a school disco with a ripped up T-Shirt, claiming I was an attack victim...

... I got into trouble this morning for it

be creative, dress up as either some tv/movie/cartoon character you like or some scary creature such as ghosts, werewolves, etc... or a hobo, or anything but yourself really.

you don't have to spend money, you might be able to find costume pieces from everyday household items... (look in your wardrobe/anyone elses wardrobe in the building and see if anything catches your eye)...

Yup, but the Halloween party I'm going to is next Saturday. Kind of hard doing a party when you're home from work around 17, and then has got to get ready for work 06 the next day.

Nothing. I went to some choclate factory as a school trip. But the thing was I was bored at night but my brother was awake like hell because he told us about this woman holding a baby going da da daa. On his bed so he couldn't go asleep and we was late this morning to get to school.
Edit: The woman holding the baby story was to freak me out but it didn't.

Chuck Norris. Anyone with any sense will run for their lives.

Although you'd better hope he doesn't find out...

Chuck Norris knows all. And he'll roundhouse kick you to the moon if you dare impersonate him.

You could go as: "A kid with no originality who's going as spiderman/powerranger/scream/etc"

Or, you could always pick up one of these:

Well we had a sci fi party a few weeks backs and I was almost going as a Dalek with the same budget the Dr Who lot had...Basically a cardboard box on my head with the word 'Dalek' written on it...then I found a cheap pirate costume and said I was a Space Pirate.

Or with whole box thing, go as Solid Snake. The halloween party we had the other day, a few people went as Tetris, just cardboard boxes fitted together and strapped to the person and the box were painted in a colour.

Or scruff up some old clothes, dirty them up and go as a homeless guy. With that, get some newspaper and wrap it around a glass bottle.

Or...as you live in Norway, borrow one of Grandma's weapons and have some crazy eyes and then you can go as him.

Ha ha I went as a hoodie and intimidated everyone into giving me about three times as much sweets / money

Impossible? Anything is impossible. Of course it's impossible, you just have to believe in it.

Mamaji, I loved the tetris idea so much that I went up to the people, gave them hi-5 and worshiped them...though not as bad as the guy who dress up as Mario, I declared him a God.

Okay, just got back from the party, had lots of fun.

I ended up going as deceased. Simply wore a black suit, white shirt and black tie, and had some make up in my face to get that dead look right.
