"Roger, take James back to camp, get him some medical attention," Jeff said through ComLink, "I'll take half the remaining men and scout the area of the explosion, the rest can stay here."

Jeff gathered a group of men and moved slowly and tactically towards the source of the explosion, about 1 click east of their position. As he approached, he heard the breaking of branches and a quick rustle of leaves, causing a jolt of adrenaline to fill his body. He signaled for the other 4 men to stop and kneel, taking cover in the nearest brush.

They remained completely silent for 10 minutes, scanning the area for any signs of life. Finally, Jeff cautiously got up and moved forward, signaling for the others to follow. As the neared a large tree about 50 yards in front of them, he noticed a chair with a lifeless body laying at its base. Aware of a possible trap, he called for the others to stop and spread out, leaving about 10 yards space between each person. He then whispered into his ComLink, "Set up a defensive perimeter, I'll check this out." The four other men surrounded the area in a rectangular formation, with the large tree at the center, concealing themselves in the bushes, alert and ready for any sign of ambush as Jeff slowly made his way towards the fallen chair.

Sorry I'm sort of taking over the bodies of other players, but it takes too long to wait a week for every one of them to respond. Notice I didn't use any specific names, so I left it up for grabs if you want to be one of those men .

Hehe. Good idea

Brian and Brad carried James the 2 clicks back to base without incident. There, they continue to study the map.

"Hmm, a bunker. We could find some old equipment there. It could also be a good place for an outpost. We should check that out when your wound is taken care of."

"I heard some mercenaries talk about killing some Walter Leeuw on the ComLink. Maybe that was the explosion."

Meanwhile in Hai Pai...
Arnold slowly awoke, he felt like he had been asleep for years but had gained no energy. His head was beating like a drum and his eyes were sealed shut in an attempt to stay unconscious. He slowly opened them. Sunlight burst into his eyes making them sting; he raised a hand to shield himself. As he did this he heard a murmuring that sounded like people talking. He turned his head to see what he could only assume was a group of villagers; his eyes were completely out of focus and struggled to adjust from one object to the next.
As he came too he realised he was lying on a low canvas bed and had several bandages tied around his body.
A young woman knelt beside him and began feeding him from a bowl beside his bed.

"We've got a downed pilot here, he's alive, but unconscious," replied Jeff through the ComLink, "I don't know if there's a search party looking for him, so we need to get out of the area with him ASAP."

"You're the only one who is injured here, James. Now, I'm going to go find the others while you recover."

Before Walter had opened his eyes, he sat upright - and that was a mistake. A surge of pain ran up his spine and his eyes filled with tears as he laid back on the soft matras. He was disorientated, both from the pain and his sudden teleportation from the tree to the bed. It certainly wasn't a dream: his house didn't have a wooden ceiling. The pain didn't seem very dreamish neither.

A sudden fear came over Walter as he realized he could've been captured. He took a peek at possible escape routes and relaxed as he noticed the door of the room was open. He then realized that if he were captured, he most likely wouldn't be lying on a clean bed with a bandage around his arm.

The room was clean, with two windows letting in a bright sunlight that contrasted with the dimmed light in the room. There was a small drawer with his stuff on it - he recognized all of it and found that nothing was missing nor broken. He wouldn't have much use for most of it, but he took his silver watch and put in over his undamaged arm.

He tried to sit up again, this time decidedly but carefully. It still hurt slightly, but he managed to sit up. He rotated to sit on the edge of the bed and quickly overthought some things. This was bad. He needed to be back in Sudan, where his base of operations was, soon. He might need to get into everyones favor to reach an airfield.

Walter shrugged, and as careful as possible, stood up from the bed and walked through the door - into the sunlight.

Still pouring over the map;

"How could anyone have gathered enough supplies to build a bunker? Surely they would have needed all of them elsewhere..."

Then, he notices something...

From the bunker, there is an array of dashed lines that surround it, and a few more leading off the map. He hadn't noticed them before because they were faded, as if someone tried to erase the ink.

Brad thinks to himself: "Could those be... tunnels?"

Meanwhile in Hai Pai...
Arnold was gaining his strength back quickly, thanks to the women of the village. To show his gratitude he helped the villagers rebuild huts that had been damaged in a raid by the military.
Through talking to the villagers, Arnold learnt that they had been fighting the government for a number of years, but they would not say why.
There seemed to be very few men in the village but Arnold chose not to ask what had happened to them.

Once he had gained their trust, the village elders told Arnold of their actions against the military.
They told him how they had built several bunkers around the area at key road points in the hope of ambushing their enemy.
They also had begun to dig tunnels from the bunkers closest to the enemy base in hope of breaching their security, but the troops had found the bunkers and dumped chemical waste there to halt the villagers' progress.
