Looks great man, you can see a lot of texture stretching on the sides of the rubble though. You may wanna look into that.

Nice little level there and enjoyed it a lot, great design and play.

The puzzles where a little easy and the game was short but still a nice game to play.

Speed ran at 38fps with my speed up mod that you can download the beta tester in chat.

Best s4

s4real,

Thanks for the input. I downloaded and used your exe but saw no difference at all. I replaced the original exe with yours, but saw no difference in test or built game. What am I doing wrong?

Best.

EDIT: I got it. It won't work on my existing level for some reason, but it works on a new one. Checking it out now.

deca, thanks. It sounds like you're leaving. You're not, are you?

I've been very busy at work and had to slow down on actual development, but the brain is still working in the meantime.

I'm currently working on The Entrance, where you must find your way down to Baalgog's Temple. It will have no enemies, but some puzzles and serve to set-up the story and path the game will take. "The Entrance", "Baalgog's Temple", and the first boss level (you fight Baalgog) will make up a mini-game. If I ever take it beyond that, it will port over to X10 or Lemur, but for now it's all V1.07.

Thanks for your support.

Hey, I think I have stepped on a few toes here without meaning too.
EDIT: well after I thought about, I think the issues people had with me was nothing really, and I dont mind what people would like to say to me. So people may see me around from time to time.

As much as fpsc is regarded as a straight forward engine, I envision developers can, and have completed great things using it. And yourself have proved that. Your game is very well laid out and the construction is top notch. Yes I agree that things will lead into x10 or Lemur mod.

Either way I think you are on a winner with your game. It really showed your knowledge of fpsc when I fired the demo up.
As mentioned before, all the best with this and anything else you do.
Thank you for keeping your site up also. It was a great help 3-4 months ago.

Have a good 1.

Listen to the undead as the story unfolds on you way down. One of the characters who will reveal clues you'll need to navigate "The Entrance".

Best.

xplosys nice looking new screenie!
Sorry for not mailing you for any progress...had a busy time etc...
If you still want the corpses i can give it a try...
Also! made a statue with a new texture...adds some more depths in it...it looks good for an entrance.
Just email me if you want something specific. (statue in a certain pose...corpses in a certain pose...or maybe for your entrance a custom arch with all the flip flap)

Sorry... haven't took the time to check this out but it looks nice!
I'm downloading the demo at the moment and will give a review
accordingly after I play it! Keep up the game building!!!

Astek

EDIT: Freaky... Anyways, I would just like to say that the
game might be better if it was darker and you couldn't see moon and stars.

Game play was cool though, and concept was pretty orignial.

@Cheese Cake, I'll mail you tomorrow. I've been very busy too.

@coffee grunt and Astek, thanks. The game will be darker and the player will have a limited allowance in terms of making it lighter. That was an early demo, I wanted to see what it would look/play like and what people thought of the concept. It's getting better, but I'm taking my time with it.

Best.

Astek, thanks. While dev continues on paper and in the background, everything in the editor is on hold until I pick the next FPSC version. It will stay in X9, but I may wait for V1.09 before I continue to build.

There's just too much on the horizon to continue with V1.07, especially with the new speed increases.

Best.

I tested it, It was very fun! I liked the gameplay and there were only a few little mistakes...and one big mistake, you can pickup the enemys weapon without hands, thats pretty stupid. The rest is good.

If ure looking for some skyboxes, check this out :

Best luck for the rest of your game development

Wolf, thanks for the comments. I never noticed that about the hands. LOL It' still very much a work-in progress and will see many changes before it's done. Thanks for the link.

Red Devil, thank you also. The cutters work great and the game will feature much of the wonderful content available on the forums.

I also like the story!

Xplosys, I write a big test of every game made in the German Board ( Im a sort of lead game tester over there ), and I wanna ask, if you allow me to test and write a revision about your game.

Wolf,

Sure, thanks for asking. Remember that the demo was just to get a feel of what the game would look and play like, and it has already undergone many changes. The concept and story will remain the same.

Just played the demo very nice so few people bother to create the level of custom media you have in your game the atmosphere is spot on making the player feel isolated and alone I have a few small criticisms I found a locked door I died shortly after and when I respawned I reappeared on the other side of the door and I think a red skybox would of looked better than the night sky you used apart from that really great job

I personally love what this game has to offer, but the story is a little unoriginal where you have to fight anyone in your path. (right now I'm yawning) and secondly, there are a LOT of people that see the word hell and get offended.

So? I saw a show called "Panic Room", (no, not the movie with Jodie Foster, before you say), where people were put in a room with TV walls and faced their fears.....

Well, one woman had a ridiculous fear of buttons......

With people like that in the world, what's the point of editing every post because you said something that could possibly offend someone....

Now, if he said."go to hell", that would be a different matter...

Good point. I agree with you and will try to think of more inventive ways to get from A to B.

They weren't big yellow clown buttons, were they? Cause they scare the hell out of me! That and donuts with legs, running around yelling "Eat Me! EAT MEEEEEEEE!
