okay im playing around with guns for real first time in FPSC.
let me know what you think.. this is the MP-10 Gunsmith, a rather large handheld machine pistol.

Its using custom decal, crosshair and ofc hud lol.

Its really low polygon. But i think it works fine as it is.
Its current state is animated, sound made so its ready
however.

Is it possible to have the bumpcubereflectalpha + illumination at
same time, because i would love the green to glow in dark.
The _i texture is already made

we are already working on this pack.. but i had to post this first one to see if it was good enough since its the first modelwork for weapons.

My designer is already sitting at the table tabloiting alot of dif guns.. So if u all think this is good enough, we will do a scifiweap pack..

I did however make it a bit smaller since it is a machine"pistol"

O.o dont know how to do custom holes
not using any apps for this, just editing textfiles.
Anyways the MP-10 does use projectiles.. Green Phospor Projectiles.

This second gun can use a few polys in that hose.....The angular 1st person view of it looks horrible. Your better then this. I won't pat your butt, and give you a good job like the suck ups. This does not mean I don't like your work. But this is not up to your standards.

you may want to check out the scorch mod pack released by Errant he does this sort of thing for a living,by dissecting what he has created and checking out his instructions for use you will find this to be invaluable information.

i cant say Inspire. Towards the scorchholes, i won't and i mean won't force ppl which use my pack to overwrite stock graphics, and it seems that is the only way to change bulletholes.

Yeah it needed more polygons, and i have added some before readin the forum today.

im stalled anyone got any idea what dummies are needed in vweap before enemies animates with the weapon? right now they just stand with it pointing down.

This is really annoying. The gun is in the right place, but when firing they use the Idle animation and when reloading the throw grenade animation..

Any FPSC expert got any clues?

The texture on the new gun is very nice, and it looks much better with the additional vertexes in the hose.

Sorry to hear that These weapons really looks great. Since it seems like Silent Depths wont work I wanted to do a scifi game, and these type of weapons is exactly what I would need.'I hope they will work soon.

No need to.You can simply overwrite them in the built game.
It would be a good thing to supply these for those folks who dont know how to create them for themselves.

Possibly the weapon type in the gunspec.
Vweaps have no animations themselves they are simply positioned according to the firespot bone on the character,so I dont know why the wrong anims are being called,if you haven't changed the character animations.

havent edited the characters at all. in editor i place an aiko with shotgun for example.. then i edit her and chance it to the FM-50 , the weapon is in her hand, and follows her animation when she runs etc.. but as soon she fires she uses idle, hence the gun is just pointing to the ground, and when reloading she plays throw grenade animation.

Took a look at the ai shootscript for shoot.fpi and throw.fpi these do not call specific anim numbers.Anims are only called from ai main script and the character you are using has pace10.fpi as this,try changing to the old pace.fpi and see if it helps.
Can only presume that animations are suited to weapon type is the weapon type set to 2 in the gunspec?

It is odd though that your anims seem to be confused even if using the wrong weapon type.
I am not really a weapons kind of guyand the folks who could help with this for you seem to be absent right now,I wouldn't give up on it, just need to wait till someone who knows more about it to come by

you are sure the vweap.x doesnt require any extra dummies?

i can't test on TGC's xfiles i get a corrupted error each time i try to open one.
Which is lame. i actually thought buying one of there packs would help me to see what vweap brings when imported.

Well ill have to wait till code sends me a new key for weapon creator and see if that helps...

That happened to me too but I cant remeber what I did. I think I just deleted the enemy and placed a new one.

i imported a gun i made in weapons creator and it has 2 dummies
axis and axis2 and i think they are made from WC?

i guess this is what is missing, but max wont export them right.

So im waiting for codemaster to response, not having much luck at that. mailed him 2 days ago..

I reinstalled the machine and the setup i got from him only had a key which could activate for 2 days. Weird way to do that. so my wc wont install anymore.

Anyways, if someone own wc and want to give it a try at importing it that way. The guns will be free for that person. I just wanna get on with these guns.

You will be supplied with x files, textures, sounds, muzzleflashs and the gunspec so you have some references for when running it through Weapons Creator.

Anja,I opened the stock Mossberg vweap in Max and find only the model with firespot,no dummies.I dont know if weapon creator places these dummies you refer to when it exports or not as I dont use it.
Edit:Same with all stock vweaps I checked,no dummies.

Deep exploration for some reason wont open vweap.x but has no problem reading the hud.x, I dont know why this is exactly, it sometimes has problems opening .x files exported from Max.
What version of Max are you using?

Id like sci fi guns that shoot sci fi stuff, rather than bullets they shoot plasma or lazers or something, so a projectile weapon that fires something, would also be nice if the projectile was dynamic in that the light coming off it effected the enviroment as it travels.

Cool guns...although from 1st person view the pistol looks kind of like a double-barrelled shotgun of some respect. Great job, however! If you do bring out a pack, I'll have to take a look at it.
