Can you rotate the player using a script? Specifically, I want to rotate the player 90 degrees after stepping into a trigger zone.

Was going to take a break... But I missed FPSC!

I don't think you could, but you might be able to rotate the entity under him. (Fake wall with matching texture of the rest of the floor)

...that's what I'd try to do, Nickydude.

I have the player teleporting from one place to another and when the teleporting takes place the player always ends up facing towards the bottom of the map (south).

Player enters teleport:
----------
|........|
|/.......|
|-----...|
|\.......|
|........|
----------

Player emerges from teleport
----------
|........|
|........|
|....|...|
|....|...|
|...\|/..|
----------

When this happens the player gets stuck in a wall. I want the player to face the same way he entered (as he doesn't know he's been teleported). I can't really shift walls and doors around as the level design is set. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Try using an actual sci-fi teleporter entity placed just under the floor, and rename the decal that it uses so there isn't one. Then you can move the teleporter out just a bit towards one direction till you don't get stuck in the wall any more.
