Hey guys, I was wondering if it was possible to rotate an entity on the y-axis preferably without editing the entity's script. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean in game or in the editor?

Was going to take a break... But I missed FPSC!

Without editting the entity's scripts?

Hmmmm, then why is this in the scripting board?

Anyway, if you're talking about in the editor, just press "r" on the keyboard. And for more information hold down F1 while in the editor.

If that's not what you're looking for, then you got me a little confused here.

No, I think he means like rotating the object not around in circles, but one the y axis up and over.

ex. getting a chair flipped upside down.

Try hitting 1-6 on your keyboard. I should know this one. I asked the same question. So give credit to Nickydude for answering it for me so that I could answer it for you...

Ah, see, to us developers who have learned the hard way about which axis rotation causes which effects, we've discovered that the Y-Axis (Vertical) rotation refers to spinning AROUND that axis, thus causing a twisting effect to make the object face left or right.

What you're looking for is rotation about the X or Z axis, which as gunn3r stated, can be accomplishe din the editor by pressing one of the numbers from 1-6 (They each cause a different rotation about a different axis).

Again, this doesn't belong in the scripting board. Things of this nature belong in FPSC Chat.
