If I had have known how poor the quality was I would have just given it a go myself and not wasted my money buying this c**p

I've never purchased a model pack with so many glitches and problems, here is a screenshot of one of the buildings. Can anyone spot the Invisible ceiling?

And here is another one, i know other people have had this problem too, the texture appears completely black, i don't know about anyone else but I personally like to buy model packs that i don't need to repair right away

I think a lot of the other model packs are less glitchy, or at least the ones I got. (Model Pack 9 & 10, Sprite Pack 1)

those are just redistributed model packs from fpsc models, only at a cheaper price, TGC didn't make those.

Yep, FPSModel's did a contract with TGC so that any Packs FPSModels make's, They sell...But the black building is that you may want tot change it's Shader(FX).

I suggest BumpCubreflect, Or whatever it's called, Gave my marine a X10 look...Of some type.

It's Arteria Games, and I've had trouble with them in the past. Specifically I bought a pack of buildings and they were of extremely low quality. They are unusable in anything I've ever done.

I'm only annoyed because TGC have allowed for this to be sold from their site, and i've payed for it expecting it to at least work, i wasn't expecting it to be perfect. The textures are poor quality (the one's i have been able to get to work) and there are holes in some of the models, I hope they think twice before selling us shabby merchandise in future, i am really annoyed at this.

hmm.. yea this looks bad. I also have noticed some Uv bugs on the screen.
Anyway I hope that they will release some kind of update for this.

Cause I don't think that the models are useful wiht hols and bad uv mapping.

Your grip sounds legitimate to me. It's too bad you didn't do a little more homework before you put your money down, but like you said, you were dealing with TGC and had certain expectations. Due to the lack of screenshots and model images displayed, even after numerous requests to post some, I did not buy this.

Thanks for posting your issues for anyone else who may be considering the pack, and you may want to also voice your opinion through "order support" as well if you have not already done so.

Best.

@Cherd

I understand that you're angry and expected better from these packs.....

But your expectations were ill-founded due to the fact that they weren't meant to be high-quality, essential packs....

This is visible from how they are set out, every other pack has it's own page with screenies, etc....Whereas these are just "bunged" together, which shows that they didn't expect people to be interested in them.....

Eh, you can't say that. Model pack 16 is perhaps the highest quality model pack of entities to date.

Model Packs 11-15 are made by Arteria Games. I am VERY suprised that TGC have supported them. There have been a huge amount of complaints about Arteria Games in the past (just do a search and read any of the results!) because of both the poor quality of the models and the 'pigheadedness' of the creator when it comes to customer support.

I bought five packs from Arteria Games all at the same time (foolish mistake) and was disgusted at the quality of the models. When I got in touch with Steve from Arteria Games, his reply went along the lines of "Tough! I've got you money now, so I don't care!"

I recently bought packs 11 & 13 not realising that they were from Arteria. Had I known that before hand I would most definitely have avoided them. Unfortunately, I didn't know it and so I found myslef wasting more money on model packs that are not worth the Hard drive space that they occupy.

I can only assume that TGC haven't looked at these models properly because I respect them as a company and also (having met them) the indivduals that make that company. So, I believe that if they had fully checked out the models before agree to support them there is no way they would put there name to such shoddy and disgraceful work.

In summary I urge everybody to avoid these packs and indeed anything offered by Arteria Games until such time as they learn from their mistakes and correct all of the flaws in the old packs before starting new ones that are of equally poor quality.

I guess you get what you pay for too.
Note that pack #13 is half the price of the better ones.
Who would have thought that #13 would be anything other than the worse pack available? (#13 is the unlucky number, remember)

Quote: " i wasn't expecting it to be perfect"

Well there you go. You got what you expected, because it's not perfect.

Quote: "I hope someone gets a response from TGC over this."

I hope so too. I did not buy that pack, but it does reflect on TGC since it is being sold through them.
I'm sure they want the bugs in this fixed as bad as you do, but it is up to the creator of the pack to actually fix it.
They are helping him sell it, not bug fixing other peoples work.
I'm sure that TGC was unaware of these issue at the release.
Some others users here said they didn't have that bug, so it is possible it didn't happen in their test.

I respect TGC and give them the benefit of the doubt here.
If the allegations of the business practices of the creator are true, then TGC might want to consider removing it.
That is up to them though, because none of us here know what agreement the creator of pack 13 had with TGC.

I guess in the end it all comes back to "buyer beware", and legitimate complaints are the only warnings a prospective buyer might have.

Well, I was talking more about 11-15, they are really rushed and don't have too good quality. But, no offense to the artist(s), I'm not that good yet.

...this really is a poor product to be selling, at this point.

I'd pull it, and not offer it until Arteria Games fixes the glaring flaws, TGC.

Did TGC even look at the models before selling them? Because all the screen shots they show are right from the creators website. I have seen the Arteria Games guy before on Gamedev, Realm Crafter, and TGC.

I agree with the pulling.

Same here. They are so much worse than the rest of the TGC products, it kinda scares me.

There is a "Report Post" button for a reason; as well as an e-mail address that I check almost daily. That thread has been deleted.

i don't care whether they are half the price, double the price, quarter the pricer or what! it doesn't concern me that TGC didn't make the packs, they still sell them, and I don't care whether or not they expected them to be successful. I paid for the pack, it mostly didn't work, yet none of the glitches are bugs were advertised along with the pack. It was advertised as a legitimate working model pack, which of course it was not.

And if you want a quick response try the e-mail route.
If you have an issue with TGC's products then please feel free to contact Order Support or e-mail someone at TGC and express your opinion.
If there are problems and issues with a product TGC would like to know so they can fix whatever it is as soon as possible.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

I want to see them too.

Has anybody bought pack #12 yet?

If so, could you please line the characters up and take a screeny for the rest of us?

I found that surprising that they didn't have pictures of the characters.

Probably because they suck.

Well, does anyone have screenshots of them from 12?

I believe it is one halo-style character with six textures but I'm not sure. Search "Pack 12 review" or something.

If it's the ones I'm thinking of; it's a Halo-like character, using the same texture...but altering the hue and saturation several times (something you can do yourself). Correct me if I'm wrong.

hmm tbh, it was cheap, i may have been a bit harsh slagging off the quality, because the ones i have got to work look "ok" i would use them, but i can not for the life of me get the textures to appear properly or get them to load properly without crashing =S and i don't understand why.

has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?
