Hi bond1. As most people will agree, your work is amazing! Model pack 17 and 18 (the latter being my favourite ) are probably the best model packs out there.

My question to you is if you could find time amongst your busy schedule, to make a tutorial on how you make your weapons.

I know it is a lot to ask but if you could manage it it would be incredible!

Thanks in advance.

You don't really need to bug Bond for that Kind of thing, We know that he uses 3DS Max and Photoshop, so why not look for some 3Ds Max tutorials on making swords/fantasy characters?
It seems unfair to ask Bond to do something that has probably already been written!

I had the same thought, but you are right Butters.

We're all better off if he keeps working on more models.

I agree that it is a lot to ask. I didn't know that he used 3d max and photoshop, I will look for some tutorials on them.

Thanks.

However I still think it would be a good idea to have a guide how to do it, not saying he owes us it at all or anything similar, just saying it would be cool.

If you read this, thanks for the amazing work bond1, keep it up.

Thanks, I'm definitely not the authority on making weapons, there are some things I'm still not familiar with.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this though: In max, place a 20mm camera at 0,0,0. Lock it's transforms so you can't accidentally move it, then set your view through this camera. This is a near-perfect FPSC player view. Then you can animate away and be assured that it will look pretty darn close without even touching the gunspec file.

Thanks bond!

I have never used max before (I use blender) and am currently trying to make a Rohan type sword from LOTR but I suck at modeling, texturing, and the like. I have made a basic model but don't know where to go.

But looking at the quality of your work I know it is possible.

Again, sorry if you feel I'm 'pressuring' you, but I would even pay for a guide from start to finish of how to make weapons, texture, animate and bring into FPSC etc.

But again, thanks for your amazing stuff bond! I hope your packs get made x 10 ready next so I can buy them.

Thanks!

Hey Bond, If you can get all these tips together and send me a text file, I'll get them in the next version of the Hints & Tips guide if you like.

MP 17 and 18 are not X10 ready yet, as far as melee goes.

......

Oh wait, hang on, I meant those screenies you made on the X10 board, wit all the characters on it, there was enough bloom and water in those to tell me that they were X10...

Oh ok I gotcha, yes those were definitely X10 screenshots. I forgot about those - and looking at that skeletal warrior in X10 again, I can't wait till these get properly X10 ready.
