hey all, thought since audiosurf is so cool and theres the other thread about how cool it is i though we should post your fav songs to play in audiosurf and the ones that best suit the game.

Mr.Blue Sky - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Ncxw1xfck (good beat, lets audiosurf do what its meant to do)

Song 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EsVyEnhxWY (the reds and yellows man!)

Through The Fire and Flames - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-z6YK92otg (dont like the song or the band and i havnt played it, but its seams to be a good audiosurf song)

The Pretender - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LL7vDzmu78 (this is liek 1 of the best songs out. Its dynamics make it a good song to play)

Well i hope this thread wont get locked cause theres something else like it somewhere

I think the song is amazing in audiosurf...also...that video is interesting about the Fibonacci Sequence in the song...made me smile.

My favourite song to play in Audiosurf so far is good ol' GNR Sweet Child of Mine:

A really confusing one is Benny Benassi's Satisfaction, because of the interesting beat:

You Know My Name by Chris Cornell is quite fun (please excuse my rubbish playing, the lag from fraps put me off).

Nice video, but I still think the mouse isn't as accurate as, say, a keyboard. This weekend I hooked up my 360 controller and so far it's the most accurate I've used To each his own!

I'm going to hook up Camtasia and record a few runs.

EDIT:

Alright I just bought Fraps and did this run through the Mythos song November. A great Vancouver electronic band.

I missed a few at the beginning, then hit some grey blocks right at the end. Argh!!

Nice, it's really annoying when you're having a great run and then crash into a grey right at the end .

How did you get Fraps to record the sound from the game? When I tried it just recorded the menu music for some reason, so I ended up having to manually add the song in Windows Movie Maker (didn't quite sync it up correctly I think).

Might record a few more runs and post up at some point.

[Edit] oops, forgot to say, I'm starting to see what you mean about the mouse. I missed loads of blocks in that run I could have got. Might have to dig out my 360 controller and give it a go. Problem is, I think I'm use to the mouse now so switching to a different control scheme will probably just confuse me.

Here's another run of mine-- Sweet Child of Mine, with better sound volume. Almost beat my high score on this one

Hmm that's very weird, it just worked for me. I went to Control Panel, Audio settings and turned up my Stereo Mixer so I could get better volume, but I didn't have to do any tweaks at all for my first video. I'll take a look around and see if anyone else has your problem.

I think it's a problem with my soundcard as its now started recording the song yet the sound is distorted.

Anyway another video, this time Inkwell by Aereogramme. Was quite a good run and I got top of the scoreboard! Ok, so I was the only person on it, but still .
