Like the title says... I've paid for ButterCutter and haven't heard anything. No download link, no emails, nothing.

Looks like I'm going to have to instruct my bank to reverse the charge, which is a pity, as I could really use that tool right now

Same here. Still, I'm keeping the faith. I was thinking of buying Lyte as well, but no point.

In the meantime, I think there's a free pack of crosshairs and cutters somewhere that might help you (try search). Also, when you look into it, it isn't too hard to make your own with the segment creator either.

I think, if I heard correctly, that Butters had a recent family bereavement.

I know the pack you mean; that's http://download.fpsfree.com/m27t4rl16x/CSGs/cutters_and_crosses.zip. I have it downloaded but need to install it. So it's worth loking into? Ok.

No offence to those who have made other cutters but nothing beats the ButterCutter

It took me well over a month to hear back from him. Keep trying to contact him, and try sending a message to him from his site. I did that and the very next day he started sending a lot of people their orders that had been waiting like myself. No one else had to wait as long as I did though, he apparently never realized I ordered it somehow, so I just sent him the paypal confirmation email and he sent it to me. It's a really great add-on for FPSC - I love it! I was really scared he wouldn't answer either but keep trying him and he'll eventually get to you like he did me.

My ButterCutter order took about a month to arrive. But I did receive it. And now I have ordered Lyte FX and I know that it will come

Be patient all, Butterfingers is still around. Yes, it took a while for him to reply to my product request e-mail, but I did recieve both Butter Cutters, and Lyte F/X around mid-March. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

Not to be harsh, But if your selling you better deliver, and not in 3 or 4 weeks.. Thats simply not right, leaving people hanging with doubts..

If you own a store, and goes away for a month, close the store. It cant be simpler.

my 5 cents

It's a week later. Multiple posts sent from the "contact" page on his web site. Nothing.

I'm starting to think that this guy is nothing but a thief.

He's got until the end of this week, then I'm reporting credit card fraud.

Screw him.

I've raised a dispute with PayPal. He can either deliver the goods or I get my money back. Real simple.

To those of you who actually got their software... well done.

This pisses me off. The whole concept of his, and the implementation, is very good. I certainly don't want to try and recreate his work - I'd rather be making a game. But, if the concept of a cutter is simple enough, I guess I'll study how breakable windows work in FPSC and start from there.

Very, very dissapointing. This is the first time I've been ripped off with FPSC related stuff. I bought the ACoder packs when they first came out; boy was that a mistake. But at least I recieved something. With this... nothing.

I've talked with Butters about this before, and while I agree that his attention to sales is lacking, he tells me that sometimes it's the buyer who either doesn't check his e-mail or his spam folder. Be sure to check the e-mail address you used, and your spam folder if applicable.

I know that's no excuse not to check this forum and the threads he made for these products. He may be a genius, and you know how they can be off in their own world sometimes, but he's no thief.

Best.

just take a minute to understand what an idiot you sound.
Butterfingers is not a theif (even if he is from london j/k)
you can either wait, preferably not with the immature whining and threats, or cancel your order, simple as.

Why does everyone around here admire Butters so much? I mean, he's a great guy, and he does great work, but alot of people around here make it sound like he's a god.

"Hey, is that Butters?"
"Butters!"
"Everybody look, there's Butters!"
"Somebody grab a camera!"

Sorry to Butters and a couple of the other sane people around here...

Mate, if your dad died, lived far away from you, and someone placed an order for a model pack, what would you do? Would you attend to your dad's funeral, or give some whinging n00b his model pack?

Sadly enough, I do.
Machester was a big industrial city until it went cormecrcial(Probaly the 1970's?)

Also lets not turn this thread into a flame war, im getting sick of how many flamewars there are on this board, probly more than any other boards on TGC, its because non of you see when it is fit to quick.

And also you guys have just turned this thread off the rails and onto the gravel off the train station.

So I suggest you leave all of you arguing for later.
Because like so, one of the rules for arguing is bad critiscm, unlike what you lot are showing here.

And I don't know what brought on this onslaught from you, fallen one, but you need to shut up.

Arguing with strangers on forums is for fools, I don't argue, I have fun

The bereavement with Butters I think was some before the new year? so perhaps that was the reason and it is ongoing or perhaps something else, perhaps he will explain for himself, it tends to be clearer from the source..

I'd tell the whinging g*t to wait and go to my dad's funeral then come back and give the person the model pack.

This thread went from a thread where someone had a question about Butter fingers to one where some of us took cheap shots at each other and those that did have been banned or slapped.
If you really gave a rat's fanny about whether you got your product or not you would post like professionals and not like two year olds that need their mouths washed out with soap.
When people start sending me complaints via e-mail it's time to squash this.
The bottom line is these "Butter fingers" threads are over...all of them.
If you have a question or complaint you can e-mail Butters. We are supposed to be game developers not little brats...some of us need to grow up and we need to watch our language.
I shouldn't have to step in and separate you and send you to separate rooms so when I give you time outs you can expect it to sting.
This behavior is come to a stop.I don't want to put up with it and neither does anyone else.
And if you think your punishment might have been harsh this time wait until you do it again.
I don't know where you got off thinking you had the tight to spam someone's thread and get it locked but I am more than happy to set you straight.
This kind of garbage is why people don't hang out on the FPSC forums.

RIP Floating Skull unknown-2007 we will miss you in FPSC x10
