I WANTED a PS3 but when the price was announced here in Australia, Sony lost a sale...... Launch price of $999 Australian just for the console...

I think the Dualshock case has been settled and Sony lost so now they can't sell (although I hear they've been working with the copyright owners to make a new and legitimate version)
The reason Sony were still selling dualshock2 is that it hadn't been proved in breach of copyright yet so was still legal

When will xbox wireless get rid of that horrible AA battery back, it's a good controller apart from that

It is far better to complete a 10 line program than to start a 10,000 line program.

The PS3 outsold both rivals[url]] in June 07 Down Under. Remember a few months ago when I said the PS3 was "closing the gap," and their sales would grow stronger over time? Well, the ratio is virtually 1:1 at this point. If Sony makes that sales-per-month ratio 2:1 in their favor over the next year or two, it'd be partly due to Sony pushing the PS3 and all that... but I think it'd also be partly Nintendo's own undoing, should my theory about their distribution/ manufacturing be accurate anyway.

Nope, they're selling it now for the PS3... at the extortionate price of $54.99 per controller. That poor, poor pooch, all soar and walking funny . I'm (finally) buying my own PS3 in June, but I don't think I'll be getting a Dualshock Controller for a while. I don't know if the PS3 ships with a dualshock or not. And even the most hardcore Sony fanboy can't deny the previous Dualshocks were anything but problem-free. If I pay $55 for a controller and it breaks two months later, I'm choking Ken Kutaragi with the cable, Sopranos style! Except that it's wireless... so I guess I'm just out of luck lol.

Comes with a USB cable for charging so you could use that Isn't the non dualshock controller only $50?

In order for sony to close the gap they need to release ps3 games over hear instead of hoarding them in china/japan. I've played some and even though I can barely understand them they are so much better than most of the rubbish ps3 games available here.

Yeah, Wii is winning, but Xbox 360 in the US. Xbox 360 is barely winning in Canada too. Wii is winning in Japan by a few million. But PS3 has not once made number one sales.

$55 at Circuit City anyway, it might be cheaper at Best Buy or something but Circuit City is closest to me, hehe. And really, with gas the way it is, I'd probably save money driving to circuit city lol.

You think $55 dollars is expensive! At the current exchange rate between America and Australia that should make the Dualshock 3 around $57 Australian but oh no over here it retails at $100 Australian which is about $95 US...

@Matt - You might want to rethink Haze as being a great PS3 exclusive. Metacritic has it at 54/100 so far:

I think you're fatigued from arguing with me for so long, lol. I agreed with you about Haze, the trailers didn't impress me, as I stated earlier . I think it was Zeke who brought up Haze on page 1 (no offense if I'm wrong Zeke).
