Talking about this.. Where is the shop trial?
Also if you hover your mouse over the tabs then the submenus goes under the video and cause of that you cant click on the submenus.

I thought the product overview they had before was a lot better. Even better at getting a quick overview of all the products. The new video is kinda cheesy, and very annoying Luckily my ad-block took care of that

The shop is for FPSCreator, why did they not add that in, garrghh, what if im a DBPro`grammer and wants to use it, yet dont want to buy fpsc? that'll cause problems, So, I think the TGC store should be for all formats, excluding t3dsm.

I quite like the video. Thought it would definitely attract a new user to purchase the software.
Good job to whoever made it.

Those fluid physics looked amazing! I liked it - and the guy was American too.

The American voice surprised me, but I suppose it's playing to a major market. Still, I wish Lee had narrated it. His unique accent spans four countries.

Wow, didn't know about the store.

I don't like the automatic starting movie however, if I were to visit with my music running, it would have caused a loud mess of sounds. Not good. Perhaps disabling that? although, that's just my opinion. :X

Of course I loved the video. Hard not to love it when it features a shot or two that I shot myself if I'm not mistaken. Arvoch Conflicted rocked - I really need to play another LAN game someday. Fulcrum Torpedo nuke mayhem is quite fun. AND a quick shot of Evochron Renegades on the newsletter. Awesome

Now, more serious, it pushes aside the right frame for me, plus, what friendly forums? I thought we were all dark, scary forumdwellers.

My crits:

- The voice was pretty cheesy. I think it'd be WAY better if it were a female voice with a slight British accent. You know, like the ones they tend to use for AI computers in movies or the ones that say "Self Destruct Sequence, Initialized".

- The script was also pretty cheesy. "Cool Coder"... "A physics plugin, called, Dark Physics" (would sound more fluid if it were something like "Dark Physics, one of Dark Basic's most powerful plugins to date, allows you to easily incorporate real-world physics into your games."

- Spend more time talking about Dark Basic and FPSC, focus less on already made creations and T3DGM.

- A lot of shots could have been better planned out. The FPSC game shot for example, could have been from a better game. The FPSC X10 shot should have shown some of the editor in action at runtime, like changing the fluid heights or the physics on barrels and crates. Also the forums shot, really didnt get across how active these forums are. The one shot of the posts, showed a 1-sentence post from the same user over and over posting their screen shots. If you hadn't used these forums before, you wouldn't even know they were doing that.

- The video playing on start up is a hassle for a lot of people obviously. Id say instead, you should design a very clean-cut, attractive and eye-catching button, fairly big but not nearly as big as the video, allowing people to click it and have the video load in an alternate window or expand in that window and play.

Who's their web designer? This is like an obvious design no no, not unless you want to irk people off. I'm glad I bookmarked their site to start on the forum page

I think it was great, they're really growing to be a great company. Their marketing tactics are only improving over the years.

Though, the movie blocks out the menus for me. Shame shame, mr. tgc web designer

Professional looking, but cheesy at the same time... I don't like the voice much and I don't like how it starts instantly. Although I liked the showcase of games made by the community.

I liked the video, but honestly I thought you the pick of video games was pretty far off the mark.

There were like a hundred retro games; what place does a rocks and gems clone have in a video designed to show a powerful 3D games development language in the year 2008? Surely you could have picked something better...and a bit more...3D?

You should have at least included footage of some RPG's or that GTA clone from years back, iWorld - that way you'd cash in on all the GTA and FF fanboys who comes here wanting to make their own versions. If I came here and saw a video supposedly representing the pinnacle of DB achievement and it consisted of a tron light cycles game with, by definition, poor graphics and a rocks and gems clone, I'd hit the road.

My honest thoughts.

Apart from that, nice video - american voice was cool and I liked how you said "cool coding", ha ha. Subtle.

Yeah, I know a game to nominate. It's honestly one of the better games in the DarkBASIC history and the name is Dumbow & Cool. How the heck could any sane person have missed that? And why those karting games if Drews Karting game looks better and plays better?

Whoever made the video appears a bit removed from the scene - We've got Geisha House, Final Exodus, Evochron Renegades, Arvoch Conflict, Dumbow & Cool, iWorld, Pirates of Port Royale and many, many more impressive games around here. Some of these games are actually valid choices, but for many of them there could've been better ones. Ah well.

The voice made me laugh, actually. Maybe it's because I live in Germany, but I know that kind of advertising only from infomercials at 3:00 AM, which are extremely unintentionally comical.

I don't really like these loud and almost shouting voices, it seems unprofessional to me.

But I guess that's quite normal in English speaking countries as I hear that in nearly every Englisch broadcast, which isn't translated to German..
