Hi Woolfman, nice to see you again.

I didn't originally put it in the post (it's there now) that this is a multiplayer game.

I never really left. I was just made to sit in the corner for a while and boy did I deserve it. Nice to be a part of the community again though.

Hey thanks, fuzz.

It's made with v1.05 so loading is slower than 1.09. I will update it soon though. I'm about to host a quick game now.

LOL come and get some, Old Painless.

@S4, thanks man. It's pretty clean and fast but a bit heavy on polygons. I wanted that ceiling segment though.

damn i almost won that one but woofman got it first! oh and i guess the bug is still in effect when somebody wins a match, all the other ppl games lock up. you need to open task manager and end the DarkArena_Cheyenne.exe process. then recreate another room. this alwalys happens even in V1.

@DarkFact: That was a fun game there. Hope to kill you again!

@4125: It was nice meeting you and playing. We'll shoot at each other again soon.

Yeah it was. Thats the fun with FPSC and Multiplayer. If your planning to upgrade your version, its not a bad idea. but the mods wont work well with it. but the store is great. I got Bond1 Zombies and they are great!!

Good game. When you restarted the server it went 'gaytactical' on
me and I couldn't join up once more. I'm working on a MP map now
featuring a fictional layout of a part of Manhattan.

No Problem. I'm hosting a game now.

I tried to join a few games and got "Waiting to join". Nobody has trouble joining my hosted games though so I'm assuming some people's ports aren't forwarded or not done properly.

Right. The procedure for setting up your particular forward depends on your router manufacturer (www.portforward.com). Once you get it set up, do this:

Start End Type IP
2303 2303 UDP 192.168.1.XXX

XXX is from the Internal IP address on your host computer. You find this number on the Support tab of the Local Area Connection Status. For me, this number is 100. But if I turn on my computers in a different sequence, it could be 101, 102, 103, etc. It's important to remember to check this IP address periodically to make sure it hasn't changed. If it has, you need to re-forward to the current Internal IP address.

oh okay i understand that alittle. My friends IP was werid, 145.65.197.12. is that even an Ip addrees? Thats Y i said that Mp dont work for me. but i'll tell him to play your game to see what happens.

That's an external IP...ie. the real one to the outside world. The PC itself has an internal IP. When you port forward, you are forwarding FROM the External TO the Internal. If you don't have a router, then there's nothing to forward, of course.

He is coneted thru wireless and its a router alright. But this is what shows up in an MP game in FPSC. I have tested wireless and it works fine with my laptop when its contected to mine or anothere one. but i have no idea how he got this one at all. we live in the same apartment building. Whould it be okay if i send him the your game so we can test it?

Sorry I missed this one...Had to work on the car. I'm hosting one now if anyone is online.

P.S. I've enhanced this map and re-built it with v1.07 and it loads 10 times faster. I haven't uploaded the re-built exe yet though as It needs some fine tuning.

Yeah was a great game and fun and a great map to play.

@4125 you need to go into setup.ini and change fog settings and amb settings.

I edited the MyArena setup FPI so that my fog, light and NVG scripting is the default. When the game is built, this FPI is copied to the finished game's folder. I have to manually copy some of the images and sounds over though, so I have a folder with just those files set up (with the same file structure) so I can copy them to the game folder before distribution.

@Indie PC Games: Thanks.

@Keith: Thanks, bro. Please get broadband asap.

@ALL: I have this map enhanced with some additional routes to the Sniper's nest. Also, I've updated it using v1.07 and s4real's mod. I'm getting 38 FPS in areas where I used to get 28. The really good news is that the increased FPS does NOT increase the animation speeds so it simply performs better.

The enhanced s4Mod version will be released when testing is complete.

It's not the setup.ini file, it's the setuplevel.fpi found at:

\Files\languagebank\english\gamebank\{gamename}

Edit the RGB values for the color of the fog you want. 0 is black. 255 is white.
