Simple, these types of RPGs like copying the image of High fantasy which derive from Norse mythology, Norse mythology had a series of races - human, god, giant, front giant, elf, dark elf and dwarf. Of course Orcs were an addition made by fantasy writers. Still it doesn't excuse re-using the same thing over and over. (I guess this is all because Tolkein used the world of Norse mythology into Middle Earth, even the word 'Middle Earth' is taken from their mythology, or as translated into their language 'Midgard'.
This is probably not a game I'll play, simply because I don't want to put up with some of the annoyances (I always find MMORPG servers annoying and I don't like monthly subscriptions. The only MMORPG that I didn't find boring and didn't have servers problems decided to add a monthly fee) and the only MMORPG I'll play is Runescape - if I want bonuses, I'll pay ÂŁ3, if I don't I still can play it. If I want Tolkien-esque High Fantasy, I've got Dark Messiah (And Might and Magic VII - but that runs so fast I can't do anything with it), Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind and Oblivion. (I've not bought the othes
If it's free, however, (or if there's a demo and servers are free) I'll be more open minded about it and see how it compares. Admittedly it
looks good.
