Newcomers DBPro Corner / Uh oh... (lots of lag trying to make an HUD)

Hi, I just put in this HUD into my game (I'm quite proud of it, actually ). However, even though I put in gosubs, I still have lag problems whenever it appears.

try changing your print statments with text, so that



becomes




when you say lag is that time form doing something to it begin shown on screen.
As I could not see any lag, mind you I have replace all your objects with plain ones (spheres and cubes).

Dark Physics makes any hot drink go cold.

The box commands are probably killing it. Comment them out and see if you get your speed back.

If you want to do it this way, you probably need to use Cloggy's D3D functions which are much faster.

^If you were wondering where to find it. It has a D3D_Box command to replace the normal BOX command.
