Look in markers, place a lightbulb shaped thing down. Use the "[" and "]" keys when it's selected to adjust radius. Right-mouse on the light to modify color, range, etc manually. And you must do this: READ THE MANUAL!

It's important to remember that lighting is everything. Good lighting makes crap models look good and great models look exquisite. Conversely, a lack of lighting makes both good and bad models look terrible.

So if you are going to do one thing, invest time in good lighting, it makes and breaks and scene.

The storyline is not bad. Reminds me of the Borune series. Follow everyone's directions here, and add some lights. You'll be surprised at how much better it makes your game look.
