Um... Looks fine, but the rooms seem plain and the entity placemeant lacks in some areas. Slco, the lightmaps are very dark, making it hard to see anything interesting in your screens. Good work, but there is always room for improvemeant.

...must agree with Hybrid.

The screenies are bland and too dark. Some crisp and tasty visuals would go a long way towards enticing us...

...no harm done, First Company Veteran.

I know, everyone says that to me, just like when I started making logos (like the one saying "First Company Veteran" in my sig). I take advice from other maps people have made and have tried to gain expertise from them, but I know I'll probably never turn out as good as them

That's no excuse, come on mate, I'm a teen too and (not to be big-headed or anything), but I can make a good game.....

I think your problem is location.....think to yourself, is lava really gonna be found in a sort of lab facility? No, it'll be in volcanoes and stuff like that......

I think water would do better in that last screen, also, there shouldn't be coffins in a lab, I'd search up some morgue-esque stuff instaed....

Just some constructive criticism, think before you slap random entities in there, oh, and custom media makes everything sweeter.....

Like CG said age is no excuse, I am not even a teen and I am trying to make a decent game.

Anyways the last shot looks great, keep going.

Just a bit of advice, I'd put some junk(barrels, boxes etc) on that catwalk thing, just to make it look nice.

Alright, I'll upload another pic wih rubble and that lot next.

@Coffee Grunt,
I made the lava as it is structured under a volcanic construction, and it is not a lab. It's a military research center which was the first to be hit by the virus and spread around the "planet".

Aahhhh......I reccomend you give a little description with each screen, just to stop misunderstandings like that.....

...I thought the lava screenshot looked really good. Big improvement over the previous shots.

That's the kind of screenies we need to get excited about your game.

Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more, as things progress...

Sorry, I was offline a bit, I'll upload the pic when I've managed to play the test game

EDIT: You aren't actually the virus, that was a mistake. You are the person attempting to destroy it lol.

No, they're not bloomed. Bloom is a full screen effect and do not apply to a single object.

if i used X10, then there would be specular shading on the walls and all that. I am making it for X10 aswell, but not right now

@5867 Dude,
Exactly =P.

EDIT: Actually, it does look a bit X10ish o.O

In picture 5 I would angle all of the objects s it looks like they have all toppled. They look like they've been very carefully stacked up there. Also, rubble is like debris from walls and stuff

Mabye you could mess around with that lava. I never liked the X9 lava as it was too bright. The room looks nice and it's got a cool, dark atmosphere but the bright lava kind of kills it a bit.

okay, i'll have to edit that in PDN. I'm gonna make custom textures for most of this. Mostly changing the horrible grass textures etc. But yeah.

Pic 7: Some random dead guy sitting against the wall, with a static light next to him in a "dead ceremony" =P

Ummmmmmmmmmmm.

That's all I got for ya.
Really, there is room for improvemeant, but it is a start.

A few tips:

1. Use better-more realistic entity placemeant. This is difficult in a scifi game, but having an unrealistic pile of junk on a bridge is not - well- realistic. Simply put, use better entity placemeant.

2. The level design is fine, but use more complex geometry for a visualy interesting journey. Remember, the scenery is almost more importany than the gameplay.

3. The lightaps are decent, but you could use more realistic colors in the scenes. A transition from the red lava to the green lights in the last screen make me feel like I am walking through a rainbow. Think of what lights really look like, and pick a color that suits your mood.

Over all, good work, but there is always need for improvemeant.

EDIT: oh, get that stupid code snippet out of here, it is just wasting space. LOL

I can also make good logos.

Yes or no: Shall I continue this game?
