Im on a free trial at the moment, a level 16 Warrior, and my question is about pets.

I have a pet owl, but other people seem to have things like horses, ect, things they can ride which make the player move faster, how can i get one of these, or do you have to be a minimum level before you can do this?

Edit: this dam game is 10GB to install, Then needs a 1GB Patch...bigest game in size i've seen yet.

Have to be level 40 (I think) to get mounts. How did you get a pet owl? Is that something specific to warriors, or can any class get a pet? Highest I ever got was level 22 on a priest.

Warriors can't have pets. Only mini-pets that are useless.

Oh, and you can get a mount at level 40, and Hunters get a skill that lets them run faster around level 28.

Auction House, Select Pets on the left, theres allsorts from mecanical squirrals to owls to a yeti, but i think they just follow you and wont fight.

I've figured out i have to be at lease level 20 before i can use a gun.

Funny, my Hunter learned it at level 10, when I finaly reached Thunderbluff. But then again, that was about 4 months ago.

I think you can get mounts at level 30 now, but don't hold me to that, I haven't played WoW in a while.

yes, there was an automatic patch, (About 20mb), if its level 30, then i only have 14 more levels to go, But trial version runs out about 11 Aug.

PS: i brought WOW for £7.99 from PCWorld, whats the differance between that and the free downloaded versions, (Other than an extra one month trial)

Your mom was 12 gig last night, ooooh!! That insult didn't even make sense oooohhhh!!

On topic, I quit playing WoW a long time ago, it just got old, but then again, I have friends who have played it since 2004 up to 12 hours a day although MMO's aren't for me quite honestly.

This is stupid, although both games do have good graphics and game play, But I remember when Monkey Island was considered a hugh game with 12 floppy disks, Themepark on the amega use to be 2 disks, (about 2.5mb), you can still get the same version of themepark for the PC, but for PC it takes much more.

I played WoW for nearly two years.

Rumor is you can get a mount at level 30 now. I don't play anymore so that may be incorrect. I'm pretty sure with the free trial version you can only go to level 20 but maybe not.

Warriors can not have pets, only hunters, and warlocks get their own special pet. So I'm not sure how you have a pet owl lol.

And yes, it's a large frikin game.

YOu can have pets just for show. They don't do anything though. I had a snake at one time, then when I was an engineer I made a mechanical squirrel (awesome!)

EDIT: Hmmm... weird. Crysis is only 2 gigs on my PC... ?

EDIT: Hmm, well the folder says 6 gigs. I'm soooo confused!

Trust the folder. Jade empire is almost 6 gigs and add or remove programs told me it was 20 megs.

I tried WOW twice on trial, got bored with the fighting and started world exploration. That was pretty cool until I discovered how hard it is to explore without grinding to hell. Shame because I really liked the environments, and the dungeons were pretty well laid out, or at least the few I visited.

Lame! That was half the fun of approaching the mount level. Saving up for it. It's like saving for your first car!

Oh no!

Dont start to play it, you get addicted and you stop making games
Happened to me before i actually managed to quit my level 60 epix fury warrior who pwned everyone in battlegulch

If you insist to play go on a private server and play for free and be game master, or make your own server

Oh please, WoW does by no means make you addicted, it might entertain you for a few days or so, but then it just gets old... Just like most MMO's out there. At least that was how it was for me.

Its boring the first 20 levels, and after that you realise its even more boring, as the grindfest just keeps going and going and going.

I got addicted to WoW unfortunately. I can't even understand why, it's not a fun game to play. It just always made me feel like there is nothing else to do so I would just log on and get nothing accomplished in the game. I played as a 70 for like 6 months and every bit of being 70 is the worst part of the game. I was so happy I finally hit 70 because of the amount of time I put into it but there is nothing to do.

I tell you right now, do not play to level 70 lol. It is the most miserable level in the game. If people think grinding was bad at level 20 then they have no idea what it's like at 70.

@Sil: I see your name has changed..
And of-course its a joke. If it was real, Blizzard would of had a more interesting title then World of World of Worldcraft.

Yeah, my warrior had a parrot and I think I had a chicken at some point as well. They're kinda lame though, they just hang out and don't really do anything. The parrot should be able to poo on murlocs and tick them off, imo. And you can't name non-hunter pets, either. They're just there to make you look cool

Try installing Age of Conan, 25GB for a terribly laggy and unbalanced game!
