Xfl was pretty funny. USFL anyone??? Arena football has survived for a simple reason NBC was backing it and it moves pretty quick. A new pro league will never last long enough to generate the money they will need to get quality players to choose their league over the NFL. There are plenty of semi-pro, world league, and canadian football teams out there for people who want to see the also rans. Face it there are only so many 275lb guys that can run the 40 in under 4.4.
