This is one of the main reasons I don't play on the Wii any more. The majority of developers are so busy churning out crapware with "novel" control concepts that they've forgotten that they're supposed to be making games.

What's the point of it?

Seen worse, like that old game....what was it again? It was about a fat man who stomped on various animals while being high on shrooms, and plundering the depths of the sewers. Oh wait, that was awesome.

Quote: "What's the point of it?"

Hate to break it to you, but it's a game. So I'll take a wild shot in the dark here and say the point is entertainment.

Games can certainly be other things like educational, but I'm guessing this one isn't.

I used to be all for Wii because they had something original going... shame they had to ruin it with such ridiculous games.

Seriously, I wonder what would happen if you just used the Wii controller like normal, would your guy jump out of the screen lol?

I feel sorry for the Wii, so much innovation is wasted on this kind of pointless shovelware....

So you don't think it's going to be naff because it doesn't work without a table and how many people have a table in a comfortable position between the TV and the chair? Or that Sega should be making something awesome like the 1990s glory days?

And you guys that have 360 and ps3 should remember that some companys give us simple mini games to get the bucks to give you resident evil 5 and far cry 2
The wii is really simple to develop for so no wonder that it gets alot of experimental games
I dont want the wii to be the kingpin in gaming industry.
But i belive its good for small developers with not that large funds like ubisoft and others have.
A 360 or ps3 owner would never accept an game on there system that looks like the best looking wii game.
And all that shine costs money to finetune.
I cant find that article again that showed and explained development costs on the 3 systems and copies to sell to get even.
But roughly whas it something like 360 game costs as much as 2 wii games to develop and ps3 like 3-4 wii games.
And the wii only neads to sell half as many copies as an 360 game to get even and so on.

The same goes for wiiware and xboxlive games that i belive is really awesome.
My brother have alot of cool xbox live games that he have showed me.

And we can never forget that the consoles would not be wath they are ,if not microsoft gave us the old xbox with hard drive and an well working online service.

Its a gamers golden year now with the 3 systems batteling it out.
we get better games and lower prices on hardware

My steering wheel attachment (for the pc) doesn't work without a proper desk. So what? If the game's fun, I'll skoot an end table over.

And why would I want sega making rehashes of old games. I like originality, and *fun* games. If I wanna play rehashes I'll get MGS, if I wanna play something new and fun with some friends, I might just buy this.

Do any of you remember excitebike for the NES? Remember how fun it was to play with your friends? I see this game in a similar light. Sure it's simple, but it's far more interesting than SSB or another street fighter :/

Its funny no one comented on monster hunter 3,that looks like its an awesome game.
You guys must agree that i looks good for a wii game and could be intresting.

I think FPS games and sword fighting games suit the Wii well. Racing games too. Unfortunately I don't have a Wii, so I don't care much.

The main thing I don't like about the Wii is it's native graphics system is based on an early version of OpenGL and was ported pretty much directly over from the Nintendo GameCube. SO not much of an advancement there, but I suppose that's one of the things that makes it cheap.

Cheers,

-naota

Hehe, 6 wild tracks!

And they look kinda low poly too, no real excuse for only having 6 - it's not 1983 FFS!.

The only driving game I'm looking forward to is Trackmania on the DS, 100 tracks, track editor, and the classic TM gameplay.

Yes, we all speak chinese, but the 6 tracks was mentioned in the high voltage video. It's not from the "stupid" game posted at the top. Though I know of a game with FOUR wild tracks. Some N64 game called "Aero"-something. It technically had 6 tracks too, but the last 2 where special unlockables.

I have to agree with NeX the Fairly Fast Ferret ...
The wii is now the second most expensive console after the ps3.
Microsoft made an huge price drop here in sweden lately.
swedish prices in swedish crowns..(sek)

wii 2399 sek
360 arcade 1499 sek
360 premium 1999 sek
ps3 4159 sek

I have mentioned it before that i think nintendo is starting to get greedy.
aron miller i belive it is a little better then the game cube
look here on livewires vid of conduit.
http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/14248157/the-conduit/videos/theconduitlivewire_072308.html

van b you should remember its an wiiware game for under 10 £
Could also be some more tracks to unlock

PS
but still does the wii outsell them both.
I love my wii but cant understand it as the ps3 and 360 have got some really kickass titles lately ?
And whe with the wii are yust starting to get some more better games ,we have to be more selective when buying games
cheers
