I'm releasing my fully rigged fantasy hands as seen in Model Pack 18 and other store items. Create your own weapons!

Requires 3ds Max 9 or later, so compatibility shouldn't be a problem. Also includes .X and FBX versions as well. Read the license carefully, you can pretty much use these for anything commercially EXCEPT selling them as your own.

For example:
Putting weapons you've made with these in your commercial game=fine
Giving away weapons you've made with these on the forums=fine
Selling a weapon you've made with these on the store=NO!

Thanks! I got mod slapped a while back when I posted a picture with one of the "other" fingers pointing up.

This is really cool man, thanks for your generous give away

Offtopic: Did you ever recieve those emails from Cheesecake about him releasing his pack of characters? He needed confirmation on whether he could or not, since they were your bipeds from MP4.

Have a great day, again thanks man.

It was SO worth it.

There's a photoshop file containing a purely diffuse texture and a normal map in there too. So you can kinda tweak the look of the gloves if you want. I like to do a lightbake with the normal map applied after I've got the weapon animated - so it really presents the hands in the best light...literally, haha.

Very nice Bond! I'm sure people will be using this, even though they don't really own Max(That happens a lot these days, kinda sad. I'm still happy with 7 though ).

And that 'other' finger image, I would've done the same thing. I mean how awesome is looking at pixelized hands flipping you off?

It's not the world that turns against you, it's you that turns against the world.

Mmm... Nice. This will certainly be more fun than crappy old MP6 hands.

If I made a modern-day retexture and posted it on the forums here, would that be okay? Note that it will mostly be colour changes, although I'll probably alter the square things around the wrists.

You know, that's funny, I emailed Fletcher concerning releasing his free Elite hands to the public...

This is cool Bond, and I also sent you an email not long ago, if you would be kind enough to reply.

It's also nice to see the good ol' MAX biped again.

Bond1, noob slapped!? Awww, why did I miss that?!

These're awesome...but yeh, anyone got a milkshape/blender converter for them?

If I was ever given the opportunity to remove all the bad from the world, I wouldn't, because for there to be heroism, compassion and all that is good, there must also be all that is bad.

Long live Biped! Nowadays Character Studio is kind of looked down upon as "so 1999". But it's animation tools were so ahead of it's time, and to this day is still the best animation tool for a one-man freelancer like me, in my humble opinion.

Oh cool, but I got my hopes up when reading the title, hoping that you released free hand weapons to punch people with. But cool! It's about time I start modelling or something.

You can take a punch at animating if you want to make those into punching hands.

It is hard to imagine you wanting to do that.

Updated the zip archive to also include .X and FBX versions of the hands. Download from top post.

Updated the texture slightly to look a bit less harsh overall. Play with the photoshop file to suit your taste.

Excellent re-texutre Lewis! I wasn't sure how easy these would be for retextures, since I think I pelt mapped the UV's (which is sometimes awkward when texturing).
