Finally! After months. Here are my characters.

I hope you all can put them to a good use!
And remember, these are really old. So they don't resemble my now a days "skills".
Constructive crit always welcome, but like i said.
I wont be listening to them (its nothing personal ) since these characters are probably around a year old.

(i had a deal with Templar so that he could upload one of my packs exclusive on his site)

Okey guys! I got some SHOCKING news! Concerning the Corpse Eaters.
Astek just emailed me, asking if he could keep the model for himself.
(thas was part of the deal, but since that deal was a long time ago i completely forgot)
So the question is, if i can still upload the models but than the Corpse Eater variation 1 if i am right may not be used in commercial games.
Or if Astek wants the model for himself than i have to re-upload the whole pack.
I guess Astek will post with further details concerning this.

Just a side note for everyone..I reccomend using my HorrorFX shader with these characters; It really gives them a gritty edge

I think I'll live being just a tad more patient.

The characters look really cool though! In a dark, dilapidated hotel with a flickering red light at one end of the hall, a humming vending machine at the other, screams and gunfire in the distance, blood smears running down the walls and floor to an open room - then suddenly any one of these creatures emerges from the darkness! Ugh, it'll be perfect.

I hope the Corpse Eaters will be in the pack... They're the best of your characters, and if they're not I go cry in the corner! (well not really, I don't cry but... it's sad.)

Well if Astek made a deal with cheesecake then you can't expect him to say everyone can have the models just because he is realising the other ones....that would make us selfish really.

I made the deal its just stupid of me to forgot that part of the deal.

So guys, its not Astek's fault!

Anyway i respect Astek's decision. Just have to wait what he wants:

- included in the pack but may not be used in commercial games

or

- removed from the pack

So, we will see.

Ohh man, alright haha. More patience.

In regards to the matter, I suppose a deal is a deal, and if it was worked out in the time where you never were even planning to release this pack to everyone, the deal would have seemed rather harmless. So, I can see how some of us find it selfish (you created them, and you generously said you wished to give them to us, now all of a sudden he can't find that same generousity within him). However! I do see the other side of it all, and if I were to have struck that deal with you ages ago, I suppose I too would want it upheld. So we'll see how things go. Even if he lets us all have it in the pack, just no commercial use, that's still great news for me! I don't exactly plan on making any commercial games.
Hopefully this all gets sorted out soon. Still really looking forward to all the characters.

Cheese Cake specifically said at the top, these are like a year old, they're not up to par with current characters (but I mean, bond1 kind of set the bar pretty darn high as it is), and he won't be listening to critique. Well the download is up, i thought Astek would have posted before the download is up.

So i guess it is to late for people not having the corpse eater.
(sorry Astek, but i did emailed you a few minutes after when you emailed me)

However, if people still really want the corpse eater model.
I guess i can make one in a similiar style. (they are very easy to make)
Of course it will not be exact the same. (guess it will be better)

HOORAY, they're finally here. Thank you Cheese Cake, this is beyond appreciated. I've fallen in love with these characters since the day you made that thread - a shame you haven't worked on Redeemed though, unless, you are secretly. Which would be really cool!
As for the Corpse Eater........it will be severely missed
I personally thought that was one of the best characters in the pack, and it would be brilliant if you made another version! But it was really nice of you to be fair to Astek, a deal is a deal

Ok tried them out, and they're fantastic man! Just a few little things that I noticed however - first off, many of the characters such as the Corpse Eater 1 (classic) & 2 have a funny little blue diamond clinging to their right foot as they walk. Same with the Sin Eater 1 & 2, those have flesh colored diamonds though. But same thing, clinging to the right foot. In the screen to select a character, Corpse Eater 1 (surgeon) isn't there, it just gives you the Sin Eater 1. Also, a pretty noticeable one haha, is that the Beast is like, not there, ish. You don't see anything but the shadow circle on the floor of it walking, and you can't shoot it; you just shoot the walls behind it - but it can kill you. As you watch the shadow circle move towards you on the ground, as soon as it's in striking range, it's attacking. Sort of the ultimate ghost character that's undefeatable; but, somewhat impossible to use

Braden, i guess i have to look into those bugs.
As for the beast...i dont think i can fix it.
Maybe edit the FPE, transparency 2 to 0 or 1.
I noticed that right when i was about to upload it.
I thought it should have been 1 though.

But you said the Corpse Eater1 with the surgeon biped gives you the sin eater.
Than i know what the problem is.
I copied the FPE's and probably forgot to edit the FPE itself.
So it still has the Sin Eater settings.

I can edit this but not right now, since i am not on at home.
If you want to use them immediately, you simply have to:

Edit the FPE rename the links that would normally lead to the sin eater to the corpse eater.
The X file shares the same name with the FPE i thought.
(you should look for that to be sure though)
And it uses the same texture as the normal corpse eater.

Also the script needs to be changed. Look if any of the other characters also uses the surgeon script and just copy that into the Corpse Eater1 surgeon.

I'll do this when i get home, but i dont know how long that would take sorry.

And John, yep i guess it does (normal maps and speculars are included for some of the models)

I'm here to clarify a few things.
I won most of those models about a year or so ago.They were exclusive to me and my team and at the time, I only shared them
with COZ. They were exclusive to me because I won that prize.
Now, I didn't think I would use FPSC again so I gave them all back.
I now discovered some new things for motivation and I requested that
all models can be used but I wanted on exclusive to me and COZ.

I am saying that the Corpse Eater 1 is non-commercial for everyone
besides me and COZ. I've emailed Cheese about that and you guys
are welcome to use it BUT the Corpse Eater 1 is for me and COZ commercial. No one else (except Cheese Cake of coarse.)

I couldn't have given them back to him when I had them.
That would have been selfish. But, its exclusive to
my game and you guys can use it but just not commercial.

Do you just put it into a characters Effect field in properties? If so, it don't seem to work for me, or else I'm doing something else wrong too.

Anybody else experiencing the same bug as Braden? Cause i cant find the problem.

@ Cheese Cake: If you wish, I can upload the corpse eater model to the forum because I was never party to any deal with you. If ASTEK made a deal with you, fair enough, but that deal only effects him, not me. I am a seperate developer to ASTEK, and we went out seperate ways many years ago. so If I can have your permission to upload, I shall do so.

Great work, maybe more tweeking (thats helpful critisising) But, for a first attempton those particular models they are great, maybe more detail. If you dont mind me asking, how do you add more than one texture to a character.

Hey finally downloaded it earlier and I have to say great work

After popping up a couple of em in max and editing for greater detail they begain to look not only great but surberb

Sharpen up the texture with scars etc and give a custom shader and say hello wikid cheesecake model and now walk around my level

Hey guys sorry again for the late reply. My computer acted weird.

Couldn't use it for a while. Anyway if you can CoZ. I guess it will help people a lot!

And guys! If the Corpse Eater surgeon biped shows the Sin Eater.
Than i guess i saved the Corpse Eater under the wrong name.
But i don't think i have the original Corpse Eater surgeon biped model.
So sorry about that, i should have checked all models before releasing.
I just checked few models and they worked all fine so i thought it was okey.

Wheatech, i don't think its possible to add several textures to one character.
And, it will not work on my characters since it has no use.
I created the UV to work with one texture so its best to edit that texture instead of making several which would result in a headache and eventually the same quality.
