Would it be possible in Project Green to have COD style knifing? So that when you press "V" it would switch to a melee weapon, then automatically fire it once? I normally attempt my own scripts but this one is too difficult.

Well, I just wrote up a long tutorial on how to get it done... and then at the end, I realised that Project Green doesn't have the weapon scripting commands which are necessary to force your weapon to fire.

You can still do a form of melee in Project Green, but it requires that you remodel your weapon to have a custom animation showing the melee attack. If you did that, you can have it play the custom animation, and deduct health from the enemy directly through scripting.

Oh... Do you think weapon scripting will ever be supported in PG?

Yes, most likely after the next version of PB is released (which is still in the unforeseen future)

He deleted it already, lol, but it's not tough. I may rewrite my sub-par melee script to suck less... depends on my mood

I tried to remake this using the giveweapon and takeweapon actions, but couldn't work out how to make it autofire :<

There is a command in Project Blue called "fireweapon" which forces the weapon that script is attached to to fire (while equipped). So, yes, in order to force an auto-fire, the command must be called from inside of the weapon script. But that isn't much of a problem since variables can be accessed from any script.

Also.. I personally would much rather use the "replaceweap" command, so your weapon doesn't lose its spot in the inventory.

Cool, hopefully I will eventually be able to purchase Project Blue or at least wait until the next version of Project Green.

I haven't amde such a script, so I can't exactly post it.

But someone should be able to with the information I've given.

@bass guy:

Sorry, I meant to say "replaceweap"
