those aren't very big gaps. I don't think people would put barrels there where it's impossible to get to them, they'd have had to roll them under the railing and hope that they landed right. myybe put something else under there, like pillars on the sides or something, instead of barrels. something that is a part of the building. the boards under there is ok though. looks like it'd fit. maybe get that shot from another angle?

I don't think that while the player is playing the game, they're going to wonder how the barrels got under the staircase

Anyways, here are some new screens:

C&C is welcome

good point, dimre01, but sublimonally, it breaks immersion. I read that in a level design book.

it looks like from that pic, you removed the stairs, tho. or is that just re-used media in a different part of the level?

Yep, that screenie is from a different part of the level, but it's near those stairs.

oh ok. I'm not saying you're a bad level designer, dimre, I just don't like to see things that will break immersion in an FPSC game, where it is so hard to create immersion already.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of attention to this thread, I have had a lot of things going on this week.

Anyways, here are some new screens (I have decided to implement EFX mod into the game)

Do you guys think I should revert to standard FPSC, or should I stick with EFX? Also, what do you think of the new screens?

Positive or negative feedback is always welcome

Thanks
dimre

Really great screens as usual dude. Honestly, EFX looks nice, but that's about it. It runs rather slow on (most) computers and doesn't add anything else than water and beauty.
Unless you really need water or the bloom, I'd switch back, but it's totally up to you

Nice screens. I would use Fenix Mod. I think hockey kid was adding water and bloom into it. Not sure, but I think so.

So, I have finally decided to continue working on Hitman Chronicles! As always, I will try to post up a screenie every few days and keep you guys in the loop about the game's overall progress.

Anyway, without further ado, here are some new screenshots of level 2:

Sorry again about not keeping you guys updated for the last few months.

As always, C&C is welcome and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

gah! how do you get your edges to look so sharp and crisp?

I have AA and AF both on 32XQ SLI and my pics STILL don't look that crisp!

hah, 32x AA and AF is an über overkill. I'm using 8xQ AA and and 16x AA. Are you using a Nvidia or an ATI GPU? I believe that ATI's cannot support AA on Pixel Shader 2.0 programs like FPSC.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, I really appreciate it.

The game itself is progressing nicely; I am about 80% done the second level. However, I am considering re-doing the first level, as my FPSC skills have vastly improved since the creation of that level.

Anyway, new screenie:

Hey guys,

Just a quick heads-up;

The project is not dead; I've just had a lot of things on my plate as always. I recently finished 5-week game design competition and came in second place (I lost to the first place team by 1% :/ ).

Anyway, if all goes well, there will be a demo up by November at the latest.
