That is wicked man, this pack is perfect. I will be buying this in the next few days for sure, all the textures look superb. Keep up the great work, if you keep releasing little packs like this I'll definitely buy them

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Dude, this looks great! Might I ask one thing though, what program did you use to make the segments? I can find a good program that doesn't re-size my textures down to 512x512

These look really good.

I use Photoshop, some photo textures, and Signs by Terry Schwarz. I highly recommend it.

Yes I am aware of signs but last time I checked does'nt his program re-size all textures automatically to 512x512? That program was great I just had to abandon it as current standards are now 1024 and 2048 :/

Correct me if I am wrong though.

No in Signs you can choose "high res" which keeps the textures at 1024x1024.

*bump*

The pack is now ready to be purchased with the shader files. The .fx files will not be included, but can be obtained from Model Pack 38. Also, 10 additional segments will be available tomorrow. A new thread will be made.

So we have to buy pack 38 just to get the fx files for the shader?

So if anything this is an MP38 add-on?

Violence isn't the answer, it's the question...

Yes, he can not redistribute the shader.

Quote: "So if anything this is an MP38 add-on?"
No, it is a segment pack that is compatible with mp38 if you want.

Thanks for the clarification darmic. This pack is available both shader 2.0 and non-shader 2.0. You need the "wall.fx" file from Model Pack 38 to use the shaders. Or, just figure out how to write your own Segment Spec shader.

AaronG,

Just played around with this. Everything looks good except for two segments.

concrete_bare2
wall_cyan

Their textures don't show up in the editor, and in test game they have the brick texture. I don't know what's up with that, but I didn't have time to check the fpe's tonight.

Brian.

EDIT: Hold on... I didn't see the rest of the files you sent. I'll get back to you tomorrow when I have them all.

Thanks.

So, they should all be there tomorrow. Let me know if you have issues.

Ok, I still have the same problem with:

concrete_bare2
wall_cyan

None of the floors have textures either and concrete_bare2 changed from a wall to a floor after I installed floor 1 and 2, but still no texture. Was I supposed to get a "Walls 5_pt2"? I got the pt1. I'm going to bed.

Brian.

AaronG,

All better except for concrete_bare2 wall which still shows no texture in the editor, and shows the wooded concrete texture in game.

Brian.

EDIT: I found the problem. The texture reference for concrete_bare2 wall was:

segments\Lived-In Environment Pack Walls\concrete_bare_D2.DDS

It should be...

segments\Lived-In Environment Pack Walls\concrete_bare2_D2.DDS

Everything else looks great. Very nice pack for the money. Thanks.

Ha, I could care less man go for it. Once your buy them they're yours for anything.

Actually, if you get these in unity, mind posting some screenshots? Especially with the specular maps on.

Theyre not working in Unity
They look really bad quality, guess I am doing something wrong.

Also, I thought these were supposed to be ready for the mp38 shaders, but none of the .fpes have the effect written in.
And I dont see any spec maps

Whoah okay hold on I may have sent you the wrong folder...

Let's try this again GJ I'll email you okay?

Also, no idea why they look bad in Unity, they're 1024x1024. Hold on a sec I'm going to e-mail you a reupload.

Edit: Compressing the folder now. It's got everything in it. The problem you may have been facing is you may have used the Archway folder by accident but ah w/e, I'll re-send them to ya more organized this time. This goes for everyone who purchased.

No, you'd have to buy 38, he can't sell the shader, it's not his. And PB V1.7 is not compatible with the shaders, but the near release of 1.8 should be/is.
