Hello Everyone!
I am here to show everyone my first model and to get some good but mostly bad feedback.
My first model is a chair, and it is terrible, but it is my first model, its texture is terrible the model is terrible but i like it (only because i made it ).
I'm giving it away and please download if you want to, obviously you don't want to, but the download is there anyway.

P.S file is in .rar format.

The texture is very badly stretched in some areas, but I can tell it would be very good Take time with your models, it's amazing what beginners can do

EDIT:
Oh, and ya might want to resize the picture to be smaller so it doesn't stretch the forum page

The good thing is, like you said, it's a chair and your first model. In no time you'll be making model packs.

While your getting there, you can work on scale and proportions, making even basic shapes more realistic. As you can see in the picture, If you sat in that chair your knees would be above the table. The back of the chair is too thick as are the legs, and the seat and legs should be lowered.

You already know about the texture, but soon you'll learn to map your textures and apply them to portions of the model instead of the model as a whole.

One down, one million to go, getting better with each one. I hope you enjoy seeing your finished work in a game as much as I do.

Brian.

when modeling, even basic start models, you need to consider what the real object looks like, proportionately the chair is obviously way to tall with not enough back resting area. I know this is your 1st model but to improve you need to consider what your models looks like in real life, and attempt to reflect that in 3D.

Yes, I think so, it's been like half a year since I've made anything (or opened) X10, got comfortable with X9.
