Good work Dr Parsnips. Cathy took a look at this thread and is really looking forward to it since she is on an Egyptian game dev right now. She really liked the work you have done.

Cheers

This is coming along beautifully my friend, you've got quite a talent for modelling! I still love your old packs, use them to this day even; this pack will work great with Cheesecake's old Temple pack as well (at least I believe it was Cheesecake's...it was definitely somebodies)! Keep it up man

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

hmm, some custom segment meshes would be good, you should make some entities which snap to the wall like signs but add depth to the wall

I was really interested in this, what happened to it? Did it get canceled? Did it get put in the gcs? I really liked it?

I hate this box, but hey it's there.....

Hey guys! Sorry to bump an old thread but i have started work on this again.

Basically I had a lot of real world dramas that I wont bore you with, surfice to say they have kept me busy for a couple of months.

Anyway, with bond1's new normal map shaders I have been working on new segments for this pack.
Check them out

So im getting close to completing this pack, but i don't know how to release it.

Do you guys think this is good enough for an actual model pack from TGC?

I certainly would contact them. Mike Johnson in particular. (or Rick Vanner). Check out the model pack thread and click on Mike's email link.

I know one thing that is difficult to face is possible rejection. I know it is easier said than done but don't worry about it. What could be the worse thing that could happen by trying? It certainly wouldn't be death or excruciating pain.

I know of somebody else who was reluctant to try. But he did, and it was accepted. Your work is certainly better than what you might consider the worse official model pack available.

Thanks Flatlander, That really does mean a lot to me.

I have done exactly what you suggested and have sent Mike an email. Who knows, it might work out, it might not, but at least I have tried! Thanks again, you are a real friend.

I think it would make an excellent pack for TGC. Good luck and hope it works out. Regardless of how it's deployed, my wife and I would definitely buy the pack. This is top notch quality work.

I agree; I think it has the makings of a great TGC Model Pack. Reminds me of Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones...great work!

As it is, tough foot steps to follow.

I am pretty sure it would do extremely well there are a lot of people that do really excellent work but is far too afraid of rejection....I still have to face my panel judges which is worrisome....and then the "jury"

Just been chatting to my neighbours teenage daughter and it turns out she's big into UFOs and aliens.

Which is cool because tomorrow she's getting abducted.

Hey guys, so I'm at a point where I could release it. I have 32 entities and 9 segments.

But im still really interested as to what else you would want in this pack? I want to give you guys value for money and the best way to do that is for you guys to tell me what you want.

anyway to wet your appitites here are some screens.

Actually, I'm not sure what all you have, exactly. Maybe I missed the list but if you hadn't made a list of the entities, doing so would be helpful. I don't want to beat my brains out coming up with something when you already have it.

I may just watch Temple of Doom again to get some ideas.
