Yes why it's fabric. Guns are metal.

That's a little to much contrast.

I think you shouldn't use that filter of photoshop ( wich make those lines)

I used underpainting
I think that the lines give a bumpy, natural effect on the weapons but I'll make some variants without it.

It looks like someone colored the gun with a crayon.

And then blur it bit. Just a bit to get smoother edges.

For the top ones case, you're actually right.
and keep in mind these aren't just gun camos.

I've made a few more which I'll make downloadable.

Ummm.... then what else are they ??

I agree that the camos look a bit too cartoonish... but if thats the style youre going for, then its great!

Cheers,
Anayar

Well you could use them for texturing characters, menu backdrops etc.
I shoudn't have used the commando as an example.
The cam looks cartoonish because of how large it's been scaled on the page.
If you don't like them, then don't use them, that's why they're free.

I just remembered why I gave those weapons that effect, I had tried to make it look like carbon fibre or a synthetic material.
I've made some more which have had excelent results. and at a distance these camos look fine. The lines give it depth/
