Hello everyone,

Well, I completely disagree with the person who said that "you cant teach an old dog new tricks...". Infact, i proved him wrong. For the past year I have been creating mulitexured entities, and now, for the the first time in my life thanks to a number of people (Nbt and Cosmic), I have finally learned to UV map!! So here are my first few models that have a single texture (uv map) on them.

Here are the models:
1. Doghouse
2. Dogbowl (with dogfood inside)
3. Danger (Guard Dogs) sign
4. Dog Buscuit/Bone
5. Frisbee
6. Ball
7. Water Bowl
8. Dog Bed
9. Paw-Print Overlay
10. Chewed Newspaper Overlay
11. Chewed Newspaper Overlay
12. Bloody Paw-Print Overlay
13. Bloody Handprint Overlay
14. Stick
15. Dog Bone
16. Chewed Arm
17. Claw Marks Overlay

This is the first of many unitextured () models to come (I hope)...

Screenies:
NEW (sorry, the chewed arm is not in the screeny, but it is in the DL):

OLD:

Please post soem C&C if you download

P.S:
Id like to take this opportunity to thank Cosmic Prophet for his excellent tutorial, and Nbt for his excellent critiques and helpful tips! Thanks guys

Looks nice, congrats.
It took me a long time before I messed around with UV mapping. (it was stretch city for awhile)
I still struggle with it a bit, but each one gets better so hang in there.
Which program are you using for the mapping?

...looking good, anayar.

Creating your own UV maps and custom textures will set your creativity free.

I'd love to see you go back and redo some of your earlier offerings, with your new-found skill.

Thank you very much. These props will be very useful, and are greatly appreciated, indeed.

Isn't UV-Mapping fun? Off course not but is sure does make our models look nice! Nice job learning it, it's a very important part of the creation process.

I think it helps to get a feel for modeling before you UV map

I know, it looks much, much better. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone...next up- a rubber ball

...the frisbee is a nice additon.

Since you're on a "dog-themed" roll, here's some additional prop suggestions to consider:

Water Bowl

Chewed Shoe

Chewed Stuffed Toy

Chewed Newspaper

Chewed Homework Paper

Chewed Stick

Dog Bed

Tether (with pole, line & empty collar)

This is really starting to take shape, and look good as a pack, anayar.

Basically the painful process that takes triple the amount of time it takes to model the object you want to map

Might be a format error, transparency error, effect error, or even a lighting error. What format is the tex in?

Are you talking about how the water goes from light to dark? I think it may have to do with your Polygons and the Lighting/Shadowing System.

You might want to size up the Doggy House a bit, I just realised how small it is compared to the Doggy Bed.
