Hey well I've decided to start showing the community what I've been working on instead of leaving you guys in the dark like what I did with my model packs.
All media, once available will be purchasable at SplatterSpawn and soon in the TGC Store.

Alright, so I will be posting images of the 3D FPSCreator stuff that I work on in this thread. Look below for renders and screens of my work.

Give me some requests as referencing new video game screen-shots gets boring.

I'd like to see a bed/bed frame that would go with the mattress' that you have made!

Brilliant work!

Here's a bed frame, I agree it is something that I should have done.

Mattress Frame

Fits perfectly with Model Pack 48 mattress 1,2 and 3 (Not large)

I'll be posting more screens of more stuff soon I just have been very busy.

That bed looks as if it would buckle up as soon as anyone laid on it.
I know it's not real life, but I tend to look at models as if they were real life objects, as that is what they are meant to represent.

Still a nice model though, but then again everything you make is nice

@Nbt Interesting point of view, I've never really thought of modeling that way. On second look at the model it is made of metal, so I don't think that it would buckle up, but you never know I guess. Do you have any suggestions for improving the design?

Well I would use L bars (or box tube) for the outer frame like normal metal beds, as this places all the strain on the horizontals of the bars which are generally 2x the width. Also I would have gone for wire mesh for the mattress support instead of those skinny bars, but that's just me

Attached is a bed I made for an old RC game. I know it's poop, but it was a 1st attempt lol and it shows what I mean above to an extent

You can grab them now over at SplatterSpawn:

@Nbt
I'm going to have another go at the mattress frame model, and will make it using L bars.Thanks for your suggestion.

I know your going to hate me for saying it, but those tables would collapse if anything was actually placed on them

The table has no frame fixing the legs to the table top and just sits on top of the legs. This is strange as you added cross beams on the legs themselves There is nothing stopping the legs folding in on themselves.

You are a highly skilled modeller as your model pack shows. Just take that excellent road bridge, it looks just right with good thought to structural design and looks as if it could hold a squadron of tanks on it. Yet those tables look like they would snap in a strong gust of wind.

I'm sorry to be such a fussy old geezer

@Nbt
You're not a fussy old geezer, trust me I appreciate the constructive criticism. Honestly it is something that I always thought was lacking in this forum; everyone just says "awesome" "sweet" "great model" etc... no one actually posts something that has any value to the modeler. I think it's great that you're critiquing my model, as it helps me a great deal, that's how we all learn right? Through experience? Now I know next time when I modeling I will think twice about real life representation. Sometimes I just get carried away when I model, I get sort of detached from real life physics and material properties. You are probably right, in real life a table of this design would not be plausible. I used a reference when modeling this, here is the screen.

It's a screen from Fallout 3. It didn't even occur to me that what I was modeling looks a bit flimsy. But hey, for the sake of it, this table has some place in the FPSC world.
Thanks for all of your comments. I should have more models to show of by the end of the week.

@Zwarte Piet
I don't understand? lol

Ah I can see now, as that ref pic only shows the table from the top, so maybe the framework is hidden from view. You are right though, all the above models will still be in demand by members, as they still look good.

I guessed you were into fallout 3 etc from your model pack

I think you could risk a bit more detail on them, are they just straight-up cubes?

Looks great!

As for the tables I can't see why they would colapse.
Its really depending on what kind of wood is used, how the board (not the legs) is constructed etc

There is a swedish guy called Bruno Mathsson which designed lots of tables in a way so that they can be up to 2meters (or more) and have no frame at all.

Not textured or UVW mapped.
Before anyone asks, yes this was modeled after the Bioshock wrench.

Some good models overhere, only that crate. I dont understand why you use 2048x2048, i suggest use 512x512 or 1024x1024, because the player wont look at all the fine details. If it was a character 2048 would be good. But that's just my opinion

Hope to see more nice stuff!

Dont use bloom.
It looks REALLY bad for model screenshots.

But good job, with everything!

It is horrible, the worst thing that was put in the FPSCreator engine, how do I turn it off?

I would suggest editing the .fx file to turn the bloom down rather than disabling postprocessing, as once toned down the bloom does actually bring a little life to your lighting (IMHO at least). Plus it seems to turn itself back on again when building a game and (for me at least) turning it back off after the game is built can have strange effects on your dynamic entities making them turn black.

Can I edit the .fx shader with notepad? I do not own a shader editor. Can I replace the bloom with one of bond1's shaders?

Pretty much.You can replace the bloom or depth of field shader with bond's Filmgrain shader for example.

And yes you can edit it in notepad.
