Awesome. There's not actually to many US army ranger style soldiers like this out there. Good work!

Sorry, but I am suspicious about your ownership/creation of this model.

Because I don't see any logical explanation why a single modeller would mix the extremly detailed 3D looking texture of the vest with the bland tepestry that sticks on the uniform.

To me it looks like someone replaced an original uniform texture with the first camouflage pattern he found.

I pass up the DL.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

Lol! "adf.ly" is a company for making small urls and money through clicks....holy miscuit...though he does state that the link earns him cash which is against AUP.

I agree with Storyteller... The vests texture looks extremely detailed, but the texture of the soldier looks very bland (liek you used the camo plugin in gimp). I personally doubt that the texture was made by you... just that you fitted it to the model.

I cant comment on the model itself (because I havent seen the wireframe of CP's)... but im sure Dale will pop in here if he thinks he needs to. If it is your model however, Good job

Cheers,
Anayar

Jumping on the new people all the time.

He said

Quote: "it's my own création (don't the texture)"

Which if I am right, he didn't make the texture. The author never specified if it was for commercial or non-commercial use. As you see, he game a wire frame of the model, wait till someone comes in that will compare it with Cp's model.

The vest does not look that all that better than the other textures. Looks like he just took a random denim texture and through it on there.

He did at least say that the link would get him some cents. I would like to see the part in the AUP that says links like that to user created material was NOT allowed. As for as I know, the AUP says that TGC holds no responsibility for the items posted via links to other sites. I could be wrong though.

I am also sure that DE has posted models up before. The end case is, if you don't trust it, don't use it.

and soon i make a new texture created 50 % by me , juste some stuff like the gilet i want too keep how it is.

the models is for commercial or non commercial use it's how you want

the link is 100% clean if you want an antivirus scan tell me

and can you give me a link for see the Cosmic prophet soldier (caus i don't know what are you talking about , i want to see him by myself)

Im sure he has, but the quality difference is really apparent. Anyways, I dont want to argue over this... if its your model its great, if its not, well im sure you will be well punished for it.

@Soviet: What time is it over there? You seem to be on whenever im on

Cheers,
Anayar

I am a professional 3D model maker for an engineering company dealing in high quality models made with Autodesk Inventor products. Average poly count would be well into the millions if we cared about poly's for what I do. But I cannot UV map to save my life I am analytical not artistic. I bet I am not the one who can model but takes 15 hours to map a simple cardboard box. Innocent till proven guilty. You should have to prove he stole, don't make him prove he did not. If you have nothing but speculation keep your mouth shut or report him to a mod and let them deal with it. Now this poor guy has these negative posts on his thread for trying to be nice to us. This type of behavior will only deter people from sharing for fear of being flamed based on a bad screen shot or lack of skill (not saying this is either it's better mapping than I can do). But why are we so quick to jump to conclusions?

@ Raymondlee306

A very valid question and I agree with you on. This is not the only thread that has deterred others from posting their work, and unfortunately won't be the last. Seems that people feel the need to dump their negative comments in an author's thread when they feel like it- not just in the model section, it happens in the other areas. It's easy to look at something and say "hey I recognize that from so-and-so" and usually it results in the author on the defensive. There have been times where the author did in fact take someones work to claim as their own. Unfortunately, that is the mentality now- assuming that new people that post their work took it from somewhere else is easier than acknowledging that someone can do good work better than some that have been here for some time. Hopefully the mentality can evolve and change... Providing the "inner circle" is susceptible to change. Otherwise, should we all just "jump off a bridge" because a select few say it should be so?

@ Dark Evenger

My apologies for going off topic in your thread. Thanks for the download.
