[Fullscreen Shader] Bloom + Filmgrain

(yeah the picture is not that nice, but just look at it ingame )

Hi guys.
A while ago I started to combine Bond1's Bloom and Filmgrain Shader, as the Filmgrain shader does not have a bloom effect.
Because I wanted to have both shaders at one time, I decided to combine them.

The shader is available in the german board for some time now and I decided I want to give it to you too.

Please take into account, that I am no shader specialist and so the look may not be perfect, also you need to use other settings than you would normally use for only Bloom or only Filmgrain.

But instead of that, everything works good.

[Installation]

Just replace the normal "post-bloom.fx" inside "effectbank\ps_2_0\" and that's it.
Be sure to have at least FPSC v1.17!

Comments appreciated!
Your DG

PS: All credits go to Bond1 for his awesome shaders!

EDIT:
Updated download with new adaptive bloom.

Nice, will have to give this a try!

I released the shader under the Creative Commons License : http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/, which gives permission to adapt and use it in derivative works as long as:

1. Credit is given
2. It remains free (share alike)
3. The license is the same

Dark Goblin has abided by this so all is good!

You took the entirety of bond1's filmgrain shader and added the bloom, so I assume that this has the color correction feature too, correct? If so, do you think you will be able to do this with bond1's new adaptive bloom when/if it gets released? Having the two of them combined would be sweet!

If I have some time I will see what I can do, if bond1 hasn't done it before I even started xD

EDIT:
Yes it has the color correction too!

Apparently the adaptive bloom shader's going to be released very soon (might even be today.) He just posted his thread about it just a little while ago. Gotta love the timing

Yes please combine the adaptive bloom with the cinematic shader.

That would be great.

At all you guys out there.
I have 2 good news for all of you.

I combined the lates adaptive bloom by Bond1 with his filmgrain shader.

I also created a second version you can use, which adds a sharpening effect.

All credits are inside the ".fx" files and all the shader source code is based on Bond1's shader.
the sharpen effect is added by me.

Here you can download the newest archiv which contains both version:

Please give me some feedback!

You mean the screen in the first post?
This screen is from a older version of the combined shader-file.
In the older version was the stock Bloom of FPSC included.
The stock Bloom makes everything blurry in your room, the new shader from bond1 focused only on the light sources, so you have only the bloom effect on lamps, or anything like that.

Btw. great work DG.

@zocker:
thanks for the nice comment!

@GreenDixy:
I dont get your problem. Everything is like in both shaders, just that they are combined. No problems for me

@Wicked:
thats because of the normal mapping shader on the segments which also have a specular effect. This combined with a bloom shader = like the image!

EDIT:
So many views but so less comments? Come on people

that has nothing to do with the shader.
I had about 10-15 people who tested it on their systems and never had such a problem.
Also you should get this bug with the original shader, as this one is identical to mine, with the only difference that mine uses both (+sharpen) and nothing more.

So maybe try to search the problem by you and not the shader, as it can not create such a bug (and has not for all who tested it and told me about it).

Sorry to disappoint you!

EDIT:
Maybe upload a testgame which gives this bug for you and I can look into it and see if it happens to me too!

@GreenDixy:

Perhaps there's an incompatability with your GPU and the shader? I can say for certain that only a full screen shader would indeed blur the whole screen... also, since the bottom half is solid black it appears to be showing you ONE of the bloom steps in the shader pipeline. (IE, it's black because it was too dark and the shader filtered out that section (part of bond's technique) and the top is blurred, which is also part of the bloom shader's operation)
