@AbdulAhad - after the pack update and after I've cleared out a backlog of assets I'll probably give it some serious thought and evaluate if it's worth the headache or not. I don't currently have the HDD space to mess around with it now and I suspect there will be some learning curve. And, well, me being me I don't like to claim compatibility with something I'm not sufficiently familiar with first-hand. Of the two, I'll probably look into Unity first.

well after purchase i thought great new stuff to make game great,
But oh NO, inserted allied character into my game and they all make a humming noise, and also the characters shoot, but you don't see them move,/animate as shooting, No movement or attack anim.
weapons canot be picked up from insersion. meaning if you put a weapon on the ground nothing is picked up. but you can pickup the weapon from dead character.

on my vista system the character and weapond are all black/ no texture details,

i have not tried the pack in X10 yet these are all tested in my normal FPS ver 118 on Xp pro service pk 3
so i need help not all is going well for this pack for me at the moment..

@spudnick which beta version of 1.18 are you using? The characters are known to do the stuck/buzzing thing in 1.17. Early 1.18 betas or mods are probably the same. You should be using 1.18 beta7 or beta8 with this modelpack (although beta 8 has some problems).

It sounds like your version is not correct to support the pack. The weapons require the action key (enter) to be used to pickup items using the default assigned scripts. However, new-ish fpi conditions are used which again point to the thought your version may not be correct.

The pack will likely not work in X10. It is for x9 only.

Im running FPSC v 17.11, can'tr seem tofind V18.7 anywhere on this website.
As for X10 i loaded it up and the install does not install to correct dir/ So you have to install manualy,
after install i added som charaters to a simple prefab and got LOAD TEXTURE IMAGE ERROR when trying out level, so does not work in X10.
so it looks like i need the beta version to tryout pack,
its a bit O T T to do all this just to get model pack to work, as the name says its a Beta Version, so i wonder when the full release will come out, as beta's will have bugs still in it and so if i run into problems, will it be the FPS Beta software or will it be the pack 53.

Any ways where can i download V18. 7

There is no v17.11 or v18.7

When will your Scar mini pack come out to the GC Store? No rush I'm just wondering so I can plan ahead. And how much will it be?

It's a 3D Laptop with 8GB of Ram Memory and 1.5 Gb of video Memory with the i7 Processor way better than the one I was originally going to get, but twice the price. So I don't mind alittle wait. I'll be buying all your packs (except 9, I already have it) and 6 others, 8 in total on the 19th or 20th, right when I drive to Canmore so the orders can be approved on the ride there.

And it seems pack 53 is doing VERY well

All packs I've seen have been .exe making it very easy for intstall and they have nice options for install as well, like to choose to install to FpSC x9 or as a standalone pack. Hope that helps

Just playing around with a female soldier and shaders (wall and floor textures are from the game FEAR, no copyright infrigement intended, it's just a test), I've generated normals and speculars with Crazybump.

She stands guard.

Um. No... LOL. Not directed at you... It's people (aka combat action)ripping my assets and placing them on GCS without permission that rubs me the wrong way. The uploader name isn't in the sidebar so TGC might have already taken action. TGC and a Mod have been contacted- justice will be served.

You can rerig weapons all you like for your game. You may not share them with others or have others do the rigging for you unless they are part of your team.

Haha ok, I thought it was at me.

Ok, so me and Design Runner are working on my game together (205: N.A.N.) and he does all the custom media and models testing cause his computer is better than mine, so I can send him the model as he's on my team? Also PW is doing the texturing for the guns so I'm not sure if that counts as on the team as well. If not thats totally fine. And if not, do you know about Model Pack 5-6 Hands? Cause I have seen some rigged to those but I'm not sure if it 100% approved.

All model packs can be modified for use on your game. You would have to contact the pack authors to see what they will and will not allow. I can not speak for Jon Fletcher(MP5) or Simon Benge(MP6). People can use their own discretion as to what constitutes a team but if the notion of "team" gets abused I'll have to be more strict about it.
BTW, that laptop is awesome. Been looking at that model myself since it's about perfect. Don't worry about delaying pack purchase. Ive seen some of your screenshots and I think you need a better computer first anyhow to really enjoy it.
SCAR Minipack should be up the last half of the month and cost about 10000 points ($10).

Not sure I totally understand but v1.18 is in beta still and the pack will have an update after 1.18 is final.

Ohk, I won't count PW as part of my development team, as I don't think it's a long term thing. He's just uv mapping and texturing a couple guns. I will either learn animation, or contact one or the other (Jon or Simon) about rigging to there hands for PW.
Haha yea I'm in need of a new computer. Although, with the newest beta of 118, I started to get average of 25 Fps, before 118 I was getting 5 dos average, so I'm excited to see what the new computer will do when I order it. I've seen it play Black Ops, full visual setting and 3D turned on, run at a great steady Fps.
Ok sweet, so I'll buy the Scar pack, an a couple other of your weapons exclusive to GCStore, and then some NPC's to fill games out.

Is there any way to use the shadow shader from the Viral Outbreak pack on these models?

I tried but removing the shader which comes with the models gives them a bizarre effect. Then I tried combining them in Dark Shader but, to be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to shaders. I have a cool looking shadow but the character looks weird.

@Thraxas- I really couldn't tell you right now, TBH. I probably won't be picking up MP52 and Dark Shader until next month and even then it will take me a while to get up to speed.

One thing you could do would be to open up the .dds maps and compare what's going on between the packs. Pay careful channels to alpha channels as Bond usually does some clever stuff with those.

Depending on discrepancies and feasibility, maybe Bond1 would be willing to GCS a compatible shader which bridges the two if there's enough interest (which there seems to be).

@The Zoq2- Yes, this is totally possible.

I believe MP52 are supposed to use DAI... So, as long as the monsters are assigned opposing team numbers to the humans they should fight each other. What I don't know is how the VO characters were scripted. If they are using plr checks for combat the scripts will need altering. If they use the aimelee system it should be a slam-dunk.

I didn't ask him about terms of use, I want to keep these skins for myself, but I don't know if he agrees, I'll ask him if he wants to redistribute them ).

Basically it's just a camo, balaclava (for the dude) and face (for the woman) edit.

Could the scripts be altered so that your allies could have
weapons hold and weapons free.

Ex: You set up an ambush with your allies and you set up
a key press to tell them to open fire or to hold.
SO that they don`nt fire on the first enemy they see
and what would you have to change.

Jake,

I haven't checked if PW Productions owns Model Pack 9, but if he does, would it be fine to give him the model I made rigged to a Model Pack 9 guns animations? As then he would already own the models rig. It's fine if it's not okay with you.
Also ordered my laptop today I'll be able to watch 3D movies and play games on full settings next Friday

Yes, Wolf can release it if he wants to. TF341/MP53 owners are welcome to share character texture-mods and character re-textures as they like.

Yes, that can be done in multiple different ways depending on what works best for your game.

Option1: you can script the aiattackawareness=x flag to toggle off and use aicleartarget when going to weapons hold. It won't stop enemies from targeting them though. If both enemies and allies are aiattackawareness=0, they can move freely around each other without fighting.

Option2: you can script faction change by starting the team to be ambushed as neutral than changing them to enemy after a trigger. Similar appearance as option 1.

Option3: you can script a variable that allows them shoot or not. They will still target and point guns but won't be able to useweapon until the var condition is met. Set the variable with your key of choice.

There are likely many more options. It's really up to you and how much FPI you know or are willing to learn.

Nice Be sure to get the interim file fixes here. It will fix the knife issue. There will be a proper update after 1.18 release with additional tuning and some new scripts. I'd be willing to give an interview then.

Change the Main AI to TF341_Main_Default_Patrol.fpi
It's not working quite right though in current betas. I need to look into it. When working, the character will follow waypoints until combat and resume waypoint patrol after combat ends. It's best to not use waypoint paths with many points or in close proximity to stair paths.

It's sort of hidden... look in meshbank\341 directory there's a text file called TF341 Animation List.txt

That has the full breakdown of all anims. (attached to post for convenience)

However, for scripting, you can also load the TF341_Animview.fpm and it will display the name of the animation and the correct animate=x number to assign. Just assign the character the weapon you want them to use and the anms will adapt to weapontype 0-5.
