DarkBasic forum,

I'm trying to load DaarkBasic Pro on a Windows 8 laptop.
When I try to install it I get a message that says:

DirectX 9. installed(589824), Requires DirectX 9.0c(October 2006) or
later.

This laptop has DirectX 11 installed. What do I do?

as you may know, microsoft gave to DX10 a serius boost with graphics,
they decided to break all the DX series from DX6 to DX9 and started new driver called "DX10, DX11"
wich means, you must have installed on your PC DX9.0c too.
even that you have DX11

so, try to find in google "download directx 9.0c august"

Or you can download the required version from the repository here, click the link on that page for DX 9.0c, searching for it online is pointless these days...

This is the packed version that comes on the Dark Game Studio DVD, there is a download on the TGC site but I can not remember where it is now...
