Hi,

On the IRC recently we had another attack from the strange lier who has taken the names Gareth, Rikku, Sara, Andrew, Pucker and most recently 'Francais' where he pretended to be, well, French on the IRC. Problem was his IP was English and Pet_Rat spotted several problems in his language implying translation, so he got another kick and ban. He rejoined, swore at us, and left again, and now appears to be spamming the darkbasic professional forum. Just thought I'd explain the situation.

Oh, and what he's done--

-Impersonated IRC members and tried to get them in trouble
-Double named, lied about his ID, etc on the IRC
-Profanity on the IRC
-Recent spamming of the forums

And not a crime, but a bit weird, is that he, while pretending to be both Gareth and Rikku, has hit on people on the IRC when he dosen't even know their gender .

Not really, like all spamming, he'll get bored of changing his IP and re-registering, or even of creating new posts. We've seen many many of his sad and sorry ilk over here before and they never do any lasting harm.

I have found a user (Username will NOT Be revealed YET) that has nearly the same IP as the Spammer. The IPs I have found by this user are

I am not revealing the last number, but they are very close to 165

Again, until we have HARD proof the username will not be revealed.

We have found 2 more IPs by this user (He/She must have dialup) all 6 of the IPs Ian and I have found all start with 195.92.168, and we have found 6 more endings by that same user.

So, one user, 6 different IPs all starting with 195.92.168, what do you think the chances are that this user IS the Spammer?

We are about 99% sure that this user is the spammer. We are hoping that the spammer wont be coming back, so we wont have any more issues. If he/she does come back, we will get screenshots and report this person to their ISP for a ban.

forgive me but does this have anything to do with a post in the NEWC section from Megaman Zero? I saw a post by him and ran away from that thread. I am under the impression that MMzero was the source of some grave stupidity on these forums a few months back. Am I wrong and confuzzling the name with some other spammer?

please clear this up because I ran from MMzero thread, but others seemingly answered his questions no problem.
