Yiiikes! Don't shoot me. Just kidding, it doesn't matter what nationality you are, lots of americans are cool, I don't think being ameraican will make you less mature, well if you aren't George W Bush.

It's amazing how much TV has raised us. (Bart Simpson)

Quote: "No, they were all written by different people. I guess they were just Alien nuts. (Not the only ones eh Rich?)"

Alien, Aliens and Alien3 were all a book first... Alien3 as a book was actually bloody good too; short but good. I just can't remember the original writer.
I'm pretty sure the 80s Alien films were also by the same writers, but that'd mean hunting down my tapes as my DVD collection is in the states.

As i said i think the new movie was writen with them, or atleast the input from them; because of the style.
I also think the story is pretty cool, because from what i've seen from the making-of trailer and the heard around;

Predators for a millennia have been dropped off on a planet to go on the Hunt and become men. The starting scene is of 3 predators being over-run and killed by hundred of aliens.

The Aliens are like the cockroaches of the galaxy, and the Predators are the Exterminators... thier rivalry has been going on for centuries. In the middle you have the humans, who quite frankly are totally sheltered from everything believeing they're the only things that go bump in the night.

The tie in with earth is the simple fact it was designated a hunting zone; back when the Mayan's ruled the temples were built by the predators as 'landing' points and the Mayan culture decided to praise them as gods; fearing the 20year Hunt when thier god would come sending thier best soldiers to fight them.

as far as the actual movies story goes, in what happens - i don't actually have much of a clue. which is kinda what makes it more exciting

Riddick's game is called one of the best movie licesnced games, and it should be the graphics kick Halo's ass. Also the movie Riddick looks likes it going to start a newe sci-fi cult, so it's gotta be somewhat decent guys...

Got anime?

I'm just democratic and I don't like Bush in the office. I also have no idea why he's even going to war with Iraq. He first said it was because of weapons of mass destruction. But THEY HAVE NONE!!! He also said it was to bring Sadaam Hussien out of power. We kidnapped him already and we're still in Iraq. I think Bush's retarded Texas ass just wants oil. Al Gore should have won the election.

OK. Here's a tip - don't start political debates, especially when you have no idea what you're talking about.

They're still in Iraq because they are (trying) to make a stable government.

That's what Bush is trying to make us think. He wants us to think he's doing something good so we can allow him to do whatever he wants. Bush doesn't give a $hit about those people. He's just using them as an excuse. Are you republican?

*Sigh* Guhill, I think its time you *humble* your self...

I see nothing from his statement that would signify that he is republican (also he is from england, not alot of republicans there).

If the US leaves the mess Bush made now, there will perhaps be a bloody civil war, anarchy, and greater political instability.

anyways, this is stupid to talk about here...this thread is supposed to be about a orange fat-cat.

What else is he doing? I don't understand. Why the hell would they go to so much effort to set up a government.

Quote: "He's just using them as an excuse"

An excuse to do what?!

Why would they keep coalition troops their if they weren't trying to keep peace?

I'm not Republican or Democrat, but I know what is going on in Iraq and you're talking crap.

Isn't Bush from N. Florida?

Quote: "We kidnapped him already and we're still in Iraq."

Erm... he was arrested with the approval of the UN Council.

Bush has no sodding idea what his administration is doing, just listen when he makes a public speech.
Although I believe the United States not handing over full control like the UN told them to when the country was liberated had alterior motives, somehow i doubt they're going to cross the UN just for a little money.

The whole iraq thing has been more about the US showing they ARE the worlds strongest power, and that they're not going to let anyone terrorise them.
A bit like some bully at school gets a water balloon dropped on them from a classroom, and that guy says he did it then hides in the principals office; so the bully decides he'll go after any other kid that might've talked to the original kid at some point just to prove he should be feared.

i think the lunch money the kid has is just a bonus really, not the real goal.

The majority of coalition troops are no longer stations in Iraq, it is now a US Controlled State. US troops are what are in the capital; British and Aussies are mostly on the outter provinces where trouble errupts from time to time, but just more there as show for prevention of trouble rather than to keep back terrorists.
(although they're both doing alot better job atm)
