Mind you, this is not trying to get on Jess' good side. Excuse me, but I have finally decided to say this because I think the DBC board lacks mod supervision.

First off, most of you say that the mods are the law enforcers in this forum. The general idea is, if there are more mods, more pointless threads can be locked quickly and easily, thus we can have a more peaceful forum. Sadly, we missed out one more point: Mods can also sticky threads. There are (were) quite a few good threads in the Classic board that really should have been stickied (like the "How do I speed up my game" thread, which we are struggling to keep afloat), but no matter how much I get my hopes up, they ended up sinking, never to be remembered. Maybe some n00bs and dedicated spammers will ignore the stickies, but there are also some dedicated and promising (Note, I didn't say "excellent") DBC coders that don't deserve to suffer searching page by page throughout the board just to look for information. Perhaps indi was the only mod that visited the place every now and then (Maraming salamat to you, indi, for showing some care), but as a whole, the Classic board is ignored and lacks mod activity.

I want Jess to be turned into a mod. He knows his codez and is really qualified to be a mod. He deserves to be a mod. I think it's great to have someone like Jess, who still frequents the DBC boards to help people, as a mod. Maybe this post will be left to the maggots (Yes, just like the DBC board), but I'd like to see a show of hands from all the people who have found Jess to be helpful.

i think we have enough mods at the moment and a simple request to have a post stuck would have sufficed.

if theres ever a space for another mod i wouldnt mind jess at all as well.

Yeah, he's definately a better pick then Mattman (anyone remember that? Urgh). I'm also not sure if we need another mod but if anyone, it should probably be him. Although he hasn't really been a member of the forums for that long but I guess that doesn't really mean anything anyway.

Now that I think about it, we've lost a couple mods lately too: K2's no longer a mod and Puffy rarely even comes here anymore.

I see the puffster on MSN every once in a while, but never on the boards.

As for Jess a mod, wouldn't mind him, he knows his sh*t.

/me falls to knees, hands in the air, head flung back screaming...

They Love me!
They really, really LOVE ME!

...

Ok, ok, So my showmanship's not the best, hehe.

Thanks for this Arkheii,
And thanks to all you other nice fella's who've said all those wonderfull things about me

The possibility of me being Mod has been discussed before too ( what can I say...? I'm just a popular guy, I guess. ) But, last time was a while back, and I wasn't as popular then... [/big headedness]

Indi,
Quote: "a simple request to have a post stuck would have sufficed."

Oh, please don't tell me you haven't read the "How Do I speed Up My Game" thread? I am litteraly begging you to sticky it... *sob*...
All joking aside, it would be nice to see that thread stickied

Mr Flibble,
I like the idea...
I agree whole-heartedly...
We DO need more Aussies in power
But seriously, is it not unfair to Puff to give his Mod status to me? And if it does happen, he wont try to hunt me down and do... bad things to me... Will he?

Thanks again guys...
This thread makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

Jess.

yeah i agree here, lots of ppl were askign for it to be stickied for ages, if ur sayign that all u need is to ask then its obvious there not enough active mods, just because of the sheer amount of time jess spends reading thro the forum and replying he should be a mod, that or give the rest of the mods a kick up the backside and tell em not to be a bunch of laze-abouts

Well it coulda been taken in about 3 different ways:

1) The way I thought of it.

2) The way you Explained.

or 3) You hate him and wish him death.

Option 3 is just down right sick.

If you want to sort this out, take it outside and sort it out like real men! *Hands Magellan a cricket bat... Hands Eric a Baseball Bat... Hands Exeat a Rubber ducky.*

Ok, now that that's sorted, can we get back to the matter at hand?

Thats called taking a joke too far, because jokes become less funny the more times you reinforce them, and as the original joke wasn't particlularly funny in the first place, that really isn't funny at all.

Not a liar - mad maybe.

We're getting so good at losing we should make it our national sport

... You have to ignore that rugby thing of course - just a little blot on our otherwise pristine national losing streak

Jess would make a decent mod. I personally think mods should be chosen-- if we're about the business of trying to pick new ones-- that visit the less-visited boards. Bring law to the wilderness and all that. I have no idea if Jess visits them or not because I don't .

The new developer network updates and beta downloads kick ass.
