Yeah, there's no way I'm putting and gore into this game. I'm against that kind of thing. But I'll probably put in a little here and there where it's appropriate {guy getting mowed by a lawn mower... lighten up it was only a joke }. I kind of like the FPS idea. That does add the realism. Last time I checked I dont see behind me or the back of me while walking around this world... Maybe some of you do, lol, but then you need help . Yay! This is a huge Thread. I think that when it's hits 100 the folder should go from red to a fire symbol.

Ok forgive me if I say things that have already been said but here are my opinions.

The idea sounds good. It could actually be turned into a new genre if you do it right, but it does seem to be leaning towards a MMORPG.

I think a cool idea would be a big empty planet and the players can explore and conquer the various nations. Set up their own government, and as time goes by their technology and ways of living can advanced based in their research and study and use of natural resources around them. Each nation will advance in third own way. So over time some will advance faster or slower than others. Some will develop to be peaceful nations, while other will be aggressive ones. This will be what causes wars and conflict and what not. Then we will see nations forming alliances and stuff. Who knows this could not only be a game for fun, but evolve to a learning tool for skools and stuff, then you could make some uber bucks. Anyway its juts my ideas. I do think with enough determined people this project could get off the ground, and I am willing to offer my assistance if does. So contact me via Aim or email and we can talk.

I like that idea, big huge planet with nothing on it besides the enviroment. People can come on and build houses and stuff like you do on Dark Cloud. You collect the tools and parts and then place it on there somewhere.

u ever nhear of Second life?

You can bulid in that game.

But yeah this game could be awesome.

whoo i love netforce. I actually have started doing designs of how itwould be possible to create something like what they do.

but yeah.

You should just let it be set in just a normal time thing. And we cna build in it and stuff. and we have to work to get money to buy land to build on and to buy stuff.

hey,
i got a good idea for virtual nation(if you are still makin it )
why don't you make it kinda like Fable?? you know the new X-box
game..just add your own twist to it! if you do good things
(if you actually get control of characters) let it show!
if you do bad things then they get all evil n' stuff.
or maybe this is all just a dumb idea...
what do you think???

kill everything

This sounds like a really good idea!! Im new to DBC (are you gonna use DBC?) and just downloaded loadsa tutorials etc etc
anyway....

I reckon this COULD be a new genre, but you should either patent it or copyright it. Also, get a good team together. Programming this could take a while especially if it is as big as you say its gonna be...

oh, by the way.. how long have you been using DB? I only been using it for bout 2 weeks and i feel like im really not learning anything!!!

anyhu(!) se ya around

and remember, you cant slam a revolving door!!!
