used to play. Might again sometime if i get the time. I don't understand why people hate it so much, im guessing because it is somewhat popular? some people just hate anything semi-"popular" but ever since I started playing it, i thought it was a great game. The people who created the game were brilliant imo. Good game, one of the best browser-based anyway.

I caught my little sister playing it once.

I screamed in her face that it was like catching her watching porno, but WORSE.

Then I smacked her and locker her in her room for 3 weeks.

That game is for pedophiles and teen turdrats.

And, apparently, the French as well.

I wish I were a hippy.


Played it for a while, was good, and it's constantly being updated but really you're just doing the same stuff over and over again.

Now I've moveed onto actually learing java so who knows, maybe one day I'll make a MMORPG and get rich. But I highly doubt it because I like to think realistically and realistically I'm never going to amount to anything and just spend my days polishing trumpets (make of that what you will).

I'd rather have my eyeballs removed with tweezers than have to sit and play really really reallllllyy bad java games.
C'mon, think of all the possibilities and then you see Runescape; puts you off Java for life.
I think they rely on eight year olds with their parents credit cards to keep it going!

It looks quite unprofessional when you misuse grammar in pretty much every sentence that an NPC says. Also, they need to balance the different classes better.
I play Runescape (once in a very long while), and it's pretty much kill kill kill, and it gets repetitive fast. I play it, but I usually only play it when I'm immensely bored and can't find any more useless online personality tests. I soon am finished killing monsters and I log off. I'm ibirk_dandil, by the way.
I much prefer Guild Wars, which I got recently. Note that I'm not trying to change the thread's subject.

I must agree it has terrible graphics but its is quite amusing if you have nothing better to do. I paid for 1 months membership to see what it was like. Only 6 days left of credit.

Cool i have been a member for about a 1 yr now and iv only hacked it twice People say its imposible to hack runescape but its not i think im about to quit just becuz its geting boring and i think im geting alitle old for this game i might come back to it or i might not and it dose have sucky conections to the servers with 100,000 people playing 1 game at the same time lol it sucks to much lag lol. I think im going to go play everquest i have a lvl 58 druid on there so i think im going to start everquest again

Well, it'll have an internal master login server. If you were to "hack" you'd be only getting in to the game server which will store nothing!

Exactly, tricking someone to giving out their password or personal info is NOT hacking...it's simply being smarter than them. Whenever someone says they "HACKED" runescape, 99% of the time they just stole someone's password, 1% of the time they hacked a related site that contained runescape passwords. People have never hacking runescape directly and attained the user database. This has been said by jagex themselves many times.

I'm currently playing this wicked-awsome MMORPG. I forgot the name, because it has lots of games. I am currently LV16 with a few skills in my tree. Man my inventory is pretty empty. Plus I am low on gold as I went to one of the town's shops to buy something. We seem to be having some sort of PvP happening in the middle east and there's lots of accusations of HAXORING and STFU NOOB, PWNED. I was returning home from a quest once when some other n00b hit my dragon from behind with his dragon. We as usual exchanged Dragon insurance but shortly after the Insurance Guild informed me that the other player gave fake dragon insurance. Not only do I have to pay for healing the dragon, but also for that other dragon I rented! Where is the logout button? Oh yeah, the bridge...

This is an intresting story really (gets out cofee cup and sits in big chair next to fireplace) One day i finnaly went online searching for this "runescape" that my freinds had been praising. I figured, wow, this must be the greatest game of all time. Then i set up an acount (with my friends help, they insisted on helping me get to a high level or something)So i log in, and behold! i see something that burns my eyes, i say why god why? What could any single person do to deservere this torture? How could they stand the lag, the 10 year old graphics, the lack of gameplay, or any source of fun whatsoever? That dat i said to myself, Wow, i could make a better game then this piece of poo. And hence i went to google looking for an sdk for c, only to find something that could be easier, darkbasic! And thats the story of how i came to these forums. Just think, becouse of runescape, you guys have me! Dont you hate runescape even more now?
