Where can I get a map editor (2d) for dark basic where it exports it as something like this:
1
4
2
6
7
2
4
2
1
where each of those numbers are the tile numbers. I would like anything that doesn't export it as something like this:
1,3,6,3,1,3

I don't think there's one around. Have you tried making one of your own?

Yes, but I couldn't make an editor that has really big maps.

Because I can't

(as in I am not skilled enough, I already tried)
never mind. I figured out a way where I could use a .bmp file, and convert it into a map layout I like.

or a massive bitmap with hidden boxes for collision and it would be like 3d, but you could only jump, go forward and backwards, and it would be seen fromthe side

The commas are ignored anyway, so why don't you want...

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

You just read them as DATA.

Here is a great map editor I found. IT supports maps with xs and ys from 20-1,000 There is a file type that it exports that has it that way, but it is better to use the .bn2 kind because it is smaller. It comes with code to load it.

OH! Thanks UFO! That is exactly what I was looking for.

Uh, The BEST programmer, I have no clue what you are talking about, but it is obvoiusly not what I am looking for.

I also was Sven B's map-maker that the BEST programmer bumped(BAD!! ) and that is good too, but I like the other one better. (No offence, Sven B)

Thanks again.

no offence? NO OFFENCE!?
Hehe, no I don't care. It was made a couple of months ago and when I would make an editor now, I probably would have done some things different.
