Quote: "As to English accents, grief go look up wav files. Some of them are totally impossible to understand really. And thats not counting scotland, wales, or northern ireland (ie. rest of UK). Even the worst american accent I have ever heard (red neck type) is possible to just about understand. And even though (I think) the UK is smaller (a lot smaller in most cases) than most US states, I think most states don't even make up half the population (only one I believe has more - just - than half of the population) of the UK. Lots of people in a small space basically. "
I'm talking about english accent in French. The <<R>>'s arn't rolled, and the <<u>> is prononoced like a <<ou>>. I forgot that they even call a british accent english. I say british, usually when I say english, I'm meaning Anglo(anglophone).

By the way, Dazzag, you are starting to annoy me, could I please have your Full name so that I can sue you.

I think that all americans secretly hate america, and want to go to some tyranic land. Come on, The freedom here is too extream, and politians will take anybodys little idea for some publicity, but is that any reason to leave? Personally, I hate the way the government reaks of rotten fruit, but it mainly affect them. And if they get ME angry, I can always send spam to the president. (Guess I can't any more )

exeat, you can't have an acent if you are mute. Or monotone.

Also, tell me if I understand this right... Since this server is in america, that means that this law actually applys to everyone on this forum?

OR would it be only the people IN america which it applys?

The problem here in America is our government was set up for the Supreme Court's job to be to interpert the Constitution in legal cases. Now their interpertations are based on their political party and whatnot instead of what is the best ruling for everyone.

Why make sense when you could make brownies?

I lived in Washington and Colorado for most of my life, but I spent a couple years in Virginia, and I definitely heard an accent there. There's a varying strength with different people, but the accent is basically just a laziness in the way you talk. Small words, don't bother enunciating the consonants, and no attention to proper grammar. I think the reason people make fun of southern accents is because people really do sound pretty dumb when they talk like this. It doesn't mean they are stupid -- a really good math professor at the university I went to there had a crazy thick Carolina accent -- but they do sound that way.

Also, I think there is a *standard* American accent that can be heard by listening to most American media, which is the way most people in the pacific northwest sound.

ooo isn't that precious

It's the most understandable, also. I think that the media is slowly reducing accents.

Justices are appointed for life, so their political party has no real impact on their lives. And, their post is the final job they'll ever work, so there is no fear of displeasing anyone.

Of course you can even if your monotone you can still say <<dis>> instead of <<this>>.

They should elect elect politisians by giving them Machetes and telling them that if they survive they get to be PM(or Predisident). Then we should elect the Liberals anyway(execpt they might me dead). If they turn out to be dead then we elect the Pot party.
