Well, any nerd statements I've made have been inclusive. I doubt Vin Diesel is posting on TGC's forums, asking what method of limb culling is the best. There is, under all else, a common bond of nerdness between us all (some more than others, of course, but that hardly matters). Furthermore, every nerd statement I've made, however cutely worded, has an uncomfortable core of truth.
And further still, I've never used online dating, nor will I ever. If it works for someone, good for them. That's one less rich nerd roaming the streets, setting peripheral hardware standards that we all have to pay extra for. But, if someone asks how you met, you'll be forced to tell an awkward and uncomfortable story that sound mega lame.
I know a couple of people that met that way. When they tell me the story, I have to suppress rude comments and laughter. And, they're not that happy. They each seem to possess some strange personality quirk (bordering on disorder). I know that's certainly not how it is for everyone, but it's my impression. And the story is lame no matter what.
