Ben,
I have ECSPro and I am happy with it.Not trying to hijack Duke's thread but if you never used the product maybe you shouldn't make claims about what it does and doesn't do.
As far as being able to get your entities in faster by hand I would like you to explain how you can do that.ECSPro,much like EZEC,has a preview of what your image will look like.Do you just naturally know what your image will look like when you import it into FPSC?
If so,you're doind better than I am.
Bullshock himself said ECSPro was nothing you couldn't do by hand.Take it from me,though.I use it every day.It is an excellent product and well worth the money.
Maybe you shouldn't take cheap shots at someone's product if you have never actually used it.I think Bullshock has every right to be offended.
@Duke,
Sorry about the rant.Keep up the good work.

I never meant to imply that your version does or does not have a feature that ECSPro does because I have not actually gotten to try your app.I was pointing out that it was unfair to post about what ECSPro will or won't do if you don't own the product.I do own it.
I am sorry I hijacked your thread.
Even when i buy your app I won't post a comparison of them side by side because you are two different developers making two different products and each should be merited on its own accomplishments.
From what I have seen your app seems to be coming along quite well.
Keep working on it and once again I am sorry if I hijacked your thread.

I didnt mean the basic concept. like, almost everyone knows it makes entitys. i meant the features of it. For instance, how does he know that it doesnt support charecters? there is no way to know that unless youve used the product, which meeans hes used it. and theres no way to use it unless you buy it. do you see my point?

anyway, Duke, that video looks exelent. sorry to hijack your thread though

I do, but I've been modeling and creating games for over 8 years now, so you accuire certain trades needed.

Well back on topic, Duke the video looks excellent and yes I did see that animations are in it also, very interesting. Keep us up to date!

Maybe you could make a sidebar type thing with the instructions or like a help file to appear so that your screen would be a little less cluttered. If not that's okay.It still looks fine.I'm just thinking that if the entity winds over on the left side of the screen it might be hard to adjust through all the text.
Better yet,you might want to do it both ways. The way it is now and with the info on or in a separate spot and give the user the choice of both.
It's looking good,Duke.

Just finished the thumbnail snapshot feature that allows you to generate a 64x64 bmp preview of your entity. I think that should be everything...

Looks great. The next Newsletter has been moved up to the first of June (we decided to make it come out the 1st of every month, so it's easier for everybody to remember), so I'll need you to contact me with any pertinent information on your program (we've got a large section of FPSC related stuff going in the June Issue).

When people make stuff I think is worthwhile my reaction is to include it in MFPS. OMG I just got an amazing idea but I don't know if it will work... There goes my next few days.

Hey Duke Blue Devils, you should work on a gui for that. If you need some advise on making one email me.

My idea is to have an animation importer that translates some imported entity's animations into FPSC-friendly animations. It would allow someone to import DarkMatter 2 characters fast with all their animations. The problem is DM1 animations are all stored as separate models.

In Magic FPS that would mean an "Import Animated Character" button and then an interface to import (enumerate) the animations.
