You got it.
Also I changed my mind about DarkMATTER 2 after viewing the showcase images (or lack of them) but the ones that are there look rubbish.
Can someone suggest a good model pack for around the same price. (£30) and maybe with guns that have hands.

Hey, i would love contributing to this, so here is a frame rate increaser!

It's a good code. A bit buggy though, i'm sure you can update it! All you would have to do is check the screen x, and screen y, and it will be working well...

Cool thanks DB user.
Hmmm I think i'll try to get a demo done soon.
BTW I updated my site, it now has some info on the NFG engine (which is what Modern Combat is built around)
http://www.natsam.co.uk

Also, I want just a few BETA testers (2 or 3) to test the game and tell me what I need to update.
Just ask me here and i'll mail you, then link you to the beta download.

I tried the beta, and I highly reccomend you put in the timing system. Apparently the terrain bug I have on my project is also on yours, which seams to explain the cause being my video memory on my laptop

Good work so far. I looked through the source and noticed the character is made of seperate objects. Try using the "append object" command I think the help files say it isn't supported anymore but it works.

OK thank you for the advice, I'll change it and use the append object command.
The timing system is already in , that exe was uploaded just before I put it in.

I would love to beta test. But if you would like more source contributions, for anything, i would be happy to help! I know how to code, so i'm not a "code theif" so i am trust-worthy (in mine, and others oppinions)

Also, i have some encoding and decoding functions you may use for saves! Their at the 20 line challenge. Enjoy!

Your progress on this game is looking excellent.

Since you're adding some dark places, you could probably use a flashlight. There's a shader for that here (made by EVOLVED):

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=84057&b=1

I'm not sure how you have the lightmapping set up, but as far as I know, you need a seperate object for the lightmapping for the shader to work.

I have been thinking, and I have decided I don't like the idea of "Combat" therefor the games name is changing as well as the overall concept, I'm making a horror game, and the games name will be Fighting Through Darkness,.
Screenies will be up in a mo, (jus gotta take some then upload some)
BTW should I start a new thread or just keep this one.
