The weather is killer, tomorrow is supposed to be 36 degrees or hotter, I mean its hotter here in Cambridge than in Ibiza by statistics. Plus its keeping me from sleep, didn't get any sleep the other day until 6:30 am, but no doubt soon after the heatwave England will freeze over again, make best of the sun while we have it, screw football or anything for a few months, just soak it up...

But I'm sure we all can blame global warming really.

though were having a heatwave over in the UK, i seem to see little difference in thee sumemr, i dont often get hot, it doesnt really bother me, but it sure is getting worse, i think global warming is happening much faster than we expected, even recent predictions.

i dont even want to get a car and drive when i get the chance. its pathetic, nobodys even attempting anything and living normally, i cant complain though, were all the same...

stupid human ambitions, bah!

Again, I don't think global warming is speeding up, it's just creating a sort of "butterfly effect" on other aspects of weather. The temperature in the air rises slightly, but that effects water temperature in some funky way, which effects currents in some funky way, which effects precipitation in some funky way, which makes it HOT and now we're all sweaty and funky Like, a small bit of the ice caps have melted, that we've already seen, but that cold water is mixed in with the currents and somehow that leads to cold fronts in places where they shouldn't be. I don't know how it works but according to Discovery and National Geographic it's something like that.

I thought it was the north that had loads of water? I'm near Reading (Legoland is literally around the corner) so am pretty southern. Not a drought order, but we aren't allowed to use hose pipes here.

36 here in Cambridgeshire, heck inside my tutor room it was 32 and it felt cool, walking to Ed's and back to get his wallet was killer in the heat, I hope it does cool down, I'm going to London friday, and I heard they got 39 degrees, better take plenty of water. From what I've heard some of the schools in our area have been closed today, but not ours, as per usual, at least they were kind enough to let us break the sixth form dress code and wear shorts.

You're not the only one, my friend had one, having the chavvy music played in the sixth form centre didn't exactly helping, I mean who cares about that chavette's milkshake?

I hate sleepless nights, but last night I put on some Opeth and Sinergy, strangely I fell asleep.

Good thing is, last night we got a light and a very quick rain and it has been cloudy through today, but the cloud didn't do too much, I thought it was cool enough to play football properly (Tip: Don't slide tackle when you have a lot in your pocket), but I soon found out after sweating buckets, that actually it IS still too hot.

Sirfire, Yeah, I guess this give more reason for people to support the green party and with hope will become a candidate party in the next elections, so we all vote for them to win and let them try to stop global warming and keep good energy sources. But hopefully this opens peoples eyes, but then some people are blinded by money and not give a damn about global warming, I'm sure the governments will learn once the sea levels start rising and the amount of land decreases, of course that will be too late and they'll be apologising and saying how the were wrong, actually, they won't, they'll cover their arses and use a scape goat, or do what is in these two Tony Blair quotes (Paraphrased);
1 (Before Iraq attack for WMDs) - We are completely sure that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction held in Iraq and we must penetrate them to eliminate that threat
2 (After they found there were none) - It is not that fact they had WMD's, as we were unsure, but it was the intent of using weapons of mass destruction that posed Saddam as a threat.

LOL. I don't think you'll ever see a conservative republican turn into a green party member. You have to induce liberal thought in doses... make them a liberal republican (like John McCain), then a democrat, then an extremist democrat (like me ), THEN hand them over to the green party People won't join the green party because they don't like rooting for the losing team. I don't think we'll see a green president in this lifetime. No, the best chance you've got is to vote for a democrat with a strong environmental policy (you simply won't find one in any republicans) and cross your fingers. I want Howard Dean to be president. He isn't crazy... the room was loud and on the tape we were listening to directional mics focused on him. Besides, he's an extreme liberal and we need that to repair the damage from the extreme conservative

I DID NOT spin this into a political debate, Musashi did, and I commented on the green party. And yes, we do need a liberal to repair the damage that Bush and his cronies did That isn't even a debate.

Down in the south of the UK it's been very hot! Hot enough to melt roads, but not hot enough to break our 2003 just record yet!

I've spent the last couple of days at the beach!

Dammit. The dorm at Eastman doesn't have AC. I was considering sleeping naked...except I am in the only double room. Me and my roommate got teh screwed. Seriously though, humidity blows. I've never woken up wet before in my life. Well, maybe once when I went to Connecticut for Christmas, but still.

Practice rooms are ridiculously hot. And everyone races to the ones in the basement where they do have air conditioning (why in the freakin' basement???).

You think you're having weird weather patterns? I live in Ohio, 'nuff said. You could get a flood, blizzard, tornado, heatwave all in the same day.

BCDP, I take it you're not at all used to humidity. Same here, as I've lived in Arizona/Utah all my life. I'm up in Northern AZ and it's been getting up around 110. When I jumped in my truck on Monday, the temperature said 118, but that's because it had been in the sun for an hour or two. After driving around for a while, it went down to 107.

I don't know how many of you know about St. George, UT? Anyway, it's hot as hell there (temperatures around 120 all summer long). Every year, people get hospitalized because they get serious burns on their feet on the pavement or concrete. I mean, this is as hot as the water from your water heater. Even with some good shoes, your feet get rather toasty. I can't imagine not having AC in a car in this area. Average temperature when you get in at noon is about 140 F.

Good performance is better than a good excuse.
