HEW

Idea
Hew- is a small person with springs on the bottom of his legs. He has to jump over rocks, borders and other moving things that are coming towards him, he moves forwards to the end of the level before they hit him or he runs out of time. every level there is a checkpoint where it will save the game this will allow you to come back to it later. there is powerups along the way that can make him move faster, jump higher also bad powerups that make the ai speed. the game type is going to be a retro puzzle game. your score will only contine once you start the game so if u use the contine button it will go back to 0.

Done

Fun game. Is the box at the end of the level a checkpoint? One comment I have is the keyboard gets unresponsive when you push too many keys (not that you can do anything about that, but maybe you could add mouse support...)
Also, this game has a distinct lack of HUE
I took the liberty to colorize the walls and floor. Here's the screenshot.

Cool! I like how instead of you just standing there and making it appear that you are moving, you can actually move around and the spheres move too. Cool game I'd like to see what happens as it progresses.

i will be posting a newer demo tomorow, it will have the imporvements made to the level 1 map also it now has smoother movement on the player cube i have even made jumping smoother, movement timers have no w been fixed so should now work better. the level is more colorfull and the end of the level will not be a cube just a sort of gem, later in the week i hope to get the menus done and power ups that will move like the rocks towards you and it is your job to get them. they will be moveing at a diffrent speed to the ai rocks so that it does not get stuck under them when coming towards you! then it will just be fixing it up making the levels and net play stuff as i am off school for summer it should all be running and the game version 1.0 out in about 3 weeks or so there will most likly be bugs bug i will be posting demos along the way so i can try and cut them out before the end of the game.

the box in the corner is the end of the level i will be making it into some sort of diamend in the end.

ok just a quick update.

version number is now 0.2!

i got level one done if you lot dont like the look i will change it lol i am not very happy with it however it is not me who has to be. i made the rocks roll now and gave them a quick texture just to make it look better i think i will get like 100 textures for them then rnd which get's what as the levels move on (the faster onces get a better texture). the demo is basicly the same just fixed the end bit where a few rocks were not moveing and also made movement smoother however jump still is not. hope you enjoy and i will be getting menus done tomorow.

yay, I won! Great game! The only suggestion is to make the ball spawn point farther away, so they don't appear right in front of you!

Great job

i do see what you mean umm i gess i will have to turn off the collision for them and move them back about 200 that should fix that problem, i will do it for the next version and i will try and get 2 levels in by then too!

one thing i want to ask
do i keep the maps looking the same?
do i keep the maps the same for say 5 levels then change?
do i change the maps each level?

basicly i am trying to say is each level diffrent map or every no and agin change it?

It would be much more interesting and fun if they change every level, or the game would get very boring. Here's an idea for a level:

Good luck!
