Hi all, I'm new to the whole darkbasic thing and I'm hopefully gonna buy the big book thing, anyway, is is possable to make real time stratagies in thhis program, because I had a sweet idea for one.

yes it is possible to make RTS style games with DarkBASIC, in fact you can make any kind of game you wish, all thats needed is effort and an understanding of what it is you are trying to do. There is nothing to stop you making some brilliant games with DarkBASIC, so go for it. !!!!

thanks for the encouragement and info, I'm hoping to base the game on a book I read about earth making an alliance with intelligent life on Alpha Centauri and then going to war with our new found allies against proxima centauri. I'm hoping to make some ground and space fighting so you get a mix and, it wont be just fighting, it will be resource collecting and helping your allies and stuff. It's still in the theory stages at the moment but it will be good once its finished.
