Why? He's bumped it with something to show, and not just a "yeah, looks good!".

Not possible. The server automatically locks threads after a couple of months of no activity.

I addressed this in the other thread.Instructions are included with the flamethrower and there are two pages in this thread donated to it.
If you can't figure out how to import it into FPSC after all of this I am not sure you could use an .exe.

to make pick ups just, use the make entity from .X files and choose either ammo or weapon. Just follow the simple instructions.

But unlike the other entitys you don't choose a texture. The textures it uses are from the folder the gun you linked into.

I think the textures are:
-Gun_d2
-Ammo_d2

good luck

Greetings,

Here's the correct pickup, ammo pickup, and hud_icon.dds for the Flamethrower. VWEAP to follow at a later time. Enjoy!

Thanks,

Seth Black

FredP,

Greetings. You're very welcome.

Here's the VWEAP.x for this little beauty. I matched the size of the pickup for consistency. It seemed undersized at 100%, so I doubled it. It's a formidable weapon to be sure.

I'm aware of the flaw at the end of the barrel shroud. That defect was present in the original model. Not that problematic...might not even get noticed during gameplay.

It makes a good illusion in place of the Auto Slug, when tested with Aiko. I haven't tried it with any other default rifle toting characters. I believe that it should work well.

Nothing that I could do for the flame effect, though.

I just noticed that the model failed to remain visible after I killed the enemy who carried it. The weapon is still picked up by the player, however. Too tired to sort this out at this time. Would be grateful if someone could diagnose this problem and post the fix here.

Enjoy!

Thanks,

Seth Black

Hey guys.

I'm really pleased that people are still taking an interest in this. I'm actually right in the middle of making a new flamethrower for the SciFi pack. It's styled on the one in "Alien".

Anyway, huge thanks to Seth for doing all that work on VWEAPS and so on. Thats really cool of you man. I'm currently trying to figure out a way of making the enemies shots look a bit more real with it...

Peace.
