I think you can spot those a mile away though, can't you.

Just in case anyone is interested (probably not), I used Poser 5 (the recent free licensed version) for the main character and free stock photography for the textures on everything else. There was lots of hand drawn stuff in there in order to get the lighting and shadows to look correct, the blood spatter and some other bits and pieces. I didn't want it 'too perfect' though as it is supposed to be a kind of 'in-game' screenshot.
His t-shirt is also a bit of a homage to the KLF
