not when you waist 3 hours a week avg. on problematic issues.

add it up, thats the time i get to spend on work related issues with a system free of defects when it comes to being exploited by others on your own system.

pfft defending spyware now good luck

Actually---- not meaning to argue--- I have only had spyware problems once, and that was back in the Kazaa days when spyware was first being created. Serious. And only one virus problem in 7 years. So, it's not just the OS

@Jeku - same here, and yet I know people who use the internet less than I do who have had far more virii than myself.

The issue is not the OS or the browser - its:
a) The sites you visit
b) The user (do you ever click on the big flashing buttons?)

Kazza and the like were famous for Spyware - as are quite a few shareware downloads. My parents like installing screensavers and stuff - and I am the one who has to show them why the computers grinding to a halt.

Firefox will always be more convenient than IE, even if IE gets tabs.

Just tried ie7 on my work machine (bloody auto-updates) and I think its absolutely crap.

For starters - the menu bar is hidden by default. How many people is that gonna confuse? Then the menu bar CANT go above the address bar. Gah!! WHY?

The ONLY thing I like about it is the improved RSS browser - its probably the nicest one I've used (browser or app). But thats it - there is NOTHING else I like about it.
